Ah, one I hadn't heard of before, thanks Frank. Nasty bastard of a spider, sounds like its deadly due to the number of time it can bite, and is also very dependent on body mass to envenomation.

On a related note, has anyone seen Eight Legged Freaks? I thought that was a cool movie.

Eight Legged Freaks was excellent. Nothing like watching stupid people getting eaten by giant spiders.

I'm an arachniphobe who's also fascinated by the little bastards.
A note on arachniphobia-it's not fear of what they can do to you, it's a repulsion at their "spideriness".
All them lil' legs pumpin'. *shudders*

Did it counteract ID4 or G98? If so, I'll try to rent it.

Though it'd be like driving a nail in with a wrecking ball, as long as you didn't put another human being at risk you should be okay.
Mind you, putting another human being at risk can be pretty remote, especially if you're shooting into the out-of-doors or you're using a large caliber weapon with say, paper-thin walls. Depends on the circumstances. And as far as I know, phobias do not count as an insanity defense.

Don't mind too many spiders myself. I have a family of brown house spiders living outside my apartment window. They set up their webs at night and catch mosquitoes until morning.

Yeah.

I would say it's a bit like Lake Placid or Deep Blue Sea.
