You have to specifically tailor annoying music to each person.
No, but there is some music that is universally awful. We're searching for just that sort of music. And I believe we have found at least some of it.

Submitted for your disapproval:

Nellie: Perhaps the most sexually explicit lyrics ever in a #1 hit.

Blue: Arguably one of the best tunes in recent years, Eiffel65 fucked it up because of their remarkeably crappy lyrics. They can't even name their own band very well.

Fellowship of the Rings: The tune they play when Bilbo is sneaking invisibly back into his Hobbit hole. It really sucked at manufacturing tension, and the rest of the movie was so well done....

Battle Hymn of the Republic: The version on the Civil War Documentary series (PBS)--arguably the worst rendition of a good song in history.

God Save the Queen--the most ethnocentric song in the history of the world.
"Sometimes I think you WANT us to fail." "Shut up, just shut up!" -Two Guys from Kabul

It simply dosen't get worse than Herman's Hermits.

In their catalogue are wonderful tunes like "I'm Henry VIII, I Am"

Oh, I also once heard a Club Europa(?think it was them?) version of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me". I'm not sure it even qualifies as music....more like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Some Others:
In the Year 2525 by Zager and Evans
Macarena
Maxwell's Silver Hammer by The Beatles ( I love this tune, but in my experience 90% of people hate it)
Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice
Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy by The Ohio Express
Seven by Prince ( I once got this song stuck in my head for three days...I seriously contemplated getting a lobotomy)
MacArthur Park by Richard Harris

Also look up anything produced by Tooth and Nail Records.
