Mystery Science Theater 3000 is the best television show there ever was and will ever be...

If by Buffy you mean Stargate SG-teh funy: the anime series. Starring Jon Stewart, Conan O'Brien, and Colin Quinn as live actors going about the universe cracking jokes and kicking Goa'uld ass while simultaneously meeting up with our favorite anime stars like Spike from Bebop, and flying around on jet-packs battling cyber-ninjas and giant robots, all the while asphyxiating the audience with never-ending laughter.

Now that's a show that would give back to TV what it hasn't had in ages: dignity.

Apart from 24, Spooks and CSI, there's no other programme I watch religiously on TV anymore unless I find something good on and watch it.

Does anyone else think season 2 of 24 is not as good as the first one?

From what i've seen, Firefly looks pretty damn good.

Seriously?! Does that mean that you watch all the shitty reality shows instead? Or all sci-fi TV? Or...or.....something else entirely?

What a pity. And I thought you had good taste, sweetie. :P

Actually since I work swing shift, I really don't watch that much network prime time TV. I hate the reality TV shit and always have with the few exceptions notably Boot Camp and Combat Missions.

My weekly TV consumption usualy covers;

Simpsons
Sopranos
Six Feet Under
The Wire
Law and Order SVU
Coupling
and a shit load of news from various channels (soft spot for Bill O'reily)
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Didn't FOX cancel it (Or give it to another network)? Funny, considering how they don't mind airing stuff like "Joe Millionaire". I blame the viewers. If they didn't suck up the lowest-common-denominator reality TV stuff, then FOX would have no reason to air it. That and they don't have ot pay reality TV stars a million dollars an episode.

Raw is actually the better of the WWE programs. I gave up on Smackdown when Limpy the Wonderkid won a contract.
