I think this just something everyone has to go through. Im not even a parent and when my "niece" was sleeping I would stick my face right next to her chest to make sure it was moving up and down. Now she is around 18 months Im over that, but it was hard not to do in the first 3 months or so.

The other thing that will happen is the automatic cringing adults do when the baby starts to run while leaning foward at disturbing angle. :)
