The fact that Philly has home-field advantage is too much of an edge. Lincoln Financial is like the 8th plane of Hell.

Can I be frank here? Green Bay scares the hell out of me. On paper, I know the Eagles should win, but it's funny how little "on paper" resembles real life, especially when it comes to potential Eagles victories.

Gah, I'm such a pessimist. That Tampa Bay game last year has ruined me, I think.

Well, heck, am I the only Titans fan here? The Titans have been practicing in the 10-20 degree lows we've been having around here for the last half week or so at night, so they should be fairly prepared for the cold weather, or at least somewhat acclamated to it. While it will still be a disadvantage, I don't think it'll be a game loosing disadvantage. One must be realistic, but I do think that we have a good chance against the Pats.

It's the playoffs. Against a good team. Any disadvantage is major.

They can't stop Christopher Reeves from getting to a refrigerator, and you expect them to win in the play-offs?
As I mentioned earlier, it'll be a offensive game. Chiefs defense is nothing to cheer about but the offense is one of the top scorers of the game.
Except, the Colts are going to run the ball every play, and score every drive (unless Vanderjagt misses the figgy) and KC, if they get shut down on just one drive, or only score three instead of seven, well then the game is for the Colts.

Dude, I said they're defense is nothing to cheer about, not non-exsistent. Get a grip. KC v Indy will be a good game but it'll end up being a high scoreing game. I bet the who ever wins (KC :P ) will win by either 3 or 7 pts and it'll be in the 40 point range.

saturday night's game is begining to worry me. Not from the standpoint of questioning my team's ability to win, but i'm concerned about the safety of the players and fans in the stands. The forcast temperature for Saturday evening is 0 F (-18 C) with wind chills of -25F (-32C). Thats dangerous and the NFL should have considered that when scheduling the playoffs.

You're kidding....at temperatures like that, you almost have to cover your mouth when breathing. How can they be expected to play in those conditions? that's just crazy...is there a precedence for postponing games for extreme cold?

no, they'll play it. Just like they played through the blizzard 2 years ago (pats-raiders afc divisional playoff). You know why? Ratings. More people will watch it on tv around the country because of the 'dramatic backdrop'. That and they'll want to see the obigatory drunken morons from Dorchester or North Providence freezing their asses off in silver shorts and red and blue body paint.

Jeez...well, that'll cancel out the advantage that the Pats have over the Titans. Neither team is very well prepared to play like that. And you're right, it's incredibly dangerous for all involved.

Oh the morons at the NFL will all just harken back to the "Ice Bowl" regardless of how stupid it was for them to play that game let alone doing it again.

Games at freezing or below freezing aren't that big of a deal but throw in a nasty wind chill and I'd hope the NFL would show a little common sense but I know they wont.

Don't forget about the coldest game in NFL History, the Freezer Bowl in 1982 between the Bengals and Chargers with a temperature of -3 and windchill of -59. You want o talk about cold, thats cold. and I know people who were at that game without any shirts, (friends parents). Crazy shit.

It's FOOTBALL!!!!! The game WILL go on! Not *must* but *will.*

Well, it's over now...but it did go on, and it will in the future.

Quite a squeaker in NE there.

Well, my Titans lost, although we fought 'til the bitter end, and had it not been for a couple screwups by the MVP-who-shouldn't-be, we would have won. It was a very close game, as well, and we really gave NE a run for their money.

Congratulations, Pats.

Exactly. The Earth's crust could be cracking open, and the sky raining blood, but if there is a game scheduled for that day, you can damn well be sure the game will go on. It doesn’t really have anything to do with ratings, that's just the way the sport has always been.

that was a hell of a game. Vinatieri had me nervous with that first missed FG.... at 5 below it must be like kicking a rock. He is not mr. sure thing anymore, but he gets it done in clutch situations. Did you notice that Brady hit every reciever at least twice? Thats what makes their offense dangerous.

Actually, he's one of the five worst figgy kickers now, though he's still a good kick-off kicker.

And now, it's off to New England, for what will probably be the toughest game yet.

Well I'll be damned. You were profetic after all.

At this point, I'd like to say that I hope that NE picks the Colts apart next week in a very imbaracing way.

Dude your on crack. How the hell is Green+Holms+Hall+Boerichter +Garcia overrated. My god, your looking at one of the top rated offense in the Leauge. Manning is an awsome QB and it will be a totally offensive game with a score like 45 to 41 or some such thing.

I think your vision is skewed though. Indy's a good team but Denver beat Denver last weekend. Massive defensive failure, lack of coordination in the backfield in the offense. The god damn Lions could have beat Denver that day.
Who said it? OVERRATED. They got WHIPPED by Manning (The Badass) and the rest of Indy. They're damn lucky they only lost by a TD; Dante Hall shouldn't have got that kick-return TD, but whatever, I'll take the win.

C'mon fellas, you know the words:

Fly, Eagles Fly,
on the road to vic-to-ry,
fight, Eagles fight,
Score a touchdown ONE-TWO_THREE!

Hit 'em low!
Hit 'em high!
And watch our Eagles flyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Fly, Eagles, fly,
on the road to VIC-TO-RY!
