Secret of the Silver Blades, and Pools of Darkness for PC, incredibly shitty graphics, but very cool games
Total Annihilation for PC, most diverse RTS I've ever seen, and the best explanation yet for insanely fast unit production
Perfect Dark for N64
GTA3 for PS2, the most educational game I've ever played(learn to deliver porn, drive a taxi, administer vigilante justice, that game has it all.)
Tekken 3 for PS
Einhander for PS
Command and Conquer for PC, the game that got me into RTS, and still sweet
Red Alert 2 for PC, cause its fun

Hitman 2
Morrowind
Deus Ex (W00t!)
Operation Flashpoint
Thief 2
And, of course, Half-Life

Hitman 2 had a lovely atmosphere, environment, and gameplay. It really brought me into the assassin line of thought. Great music too.

Morrowind is simply an AWESOME RPG. I created my own custom character, and had him do all kinds of neat stuff. Though it drops off a little at higher levels, that's what the expansion's for, :).

Deus Ex is the coolest fps ever! A nice rpg, with a great storyline and awesome gameplay, it makes me drool at the mouth at the sound of Deus Ex 2.

Operation Flashpoint is a really cool war simulator. It has many locations, and a nice overall storyline. The added fact that you get to drive and fly all kinds of stuff is an awesome bonus. I've yet to play the expansion, unfortunately.

Thief 2 really capture the essence of being a thief. Though the graphics are the best, they are still more than adequate for the level designing, and atmosphere provided by the game. It leaves nothing to fault. My favorite things about it are the rope arrows and the fact that you can actually CLIMB ledges (Who woulda thought the human body were capable of such difficult tasks!). I'm still really saddened by the fall of Looking Glass, a most awesome developing team. Still, I hear a third thief is on the way, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, :).

Half-Life, though not as good in my eyes as Deus Ex was, provided the whole freaking palette and canvas. Allowing easy mod creation and the ability to produce sophisticated animations and such, it is an awesome tool for would-be developers. It's a cool game too, with a nice atmosphere.

I forgot to mention some of my fav console games too, :).

Harvest Moon
Perfect Dark
Grand Theft Auto 3 (Vice City, mostly)
Grand Tourismo 2
Armored Core 2, and Another Age

Harvest Moon is the classic rpg, the true precursor (In weirdly adldictive) to the Sims. I've never had so much fun being a farmer.

Perfect Dark is to Goldeneye what Vice City is to the original GTA 3. Simply the same concept with a much better execution. The weapons, the story, it's all fun. I also like how you can unlock stuff through the game's various challenges. By far, however, the coolest weapon ever is the laptop gun.

GTA Vice City is, as above, a better version of the original. If you haven't played it, you're missing out. I mean, bikes and 80's music! 'Nuff said.

Grand Tourismo 2 is the sole reason I even look at racing games of any sort. Just an awesome collector's wet dream/racing sim, it makes me wish I tried the 3rd one, =).

Armored Core 2 is an awesome mech game, and one with so much customization and options. Lots of fun.

Argh, Xbox games too...Halo, Jet Set Radio Future, and others are really neat, but I won't waste any more space hyping them, :).

Resistance is awesome, IMO. Motorcycles are fun to drive around in, but my favorite addition were the sidearms! Goddamn, I love running around with my M16, then running out of ammo, whipping out my 9mm and *bang bang bang* dead commie. The campaign is sweet too, you've gotta be smart and only hand out your good gear to your veteran troops, since you really don't want to lose those AK74SUs and XMSs you've grabbed :D . My only beefs with it are that they changed the M16 sound and it still doesn't sound like an M16, and there still haven't been any major improvements with the magical-super-duper-uber-god AI.

Yah...Fighting it can get difficult with that AI...It is good.

I am usually able to find some cover long enough to take down a few commies though. I still love that all-alone-must-escape-evil-ivan-commie-death map.

Cover? Against Op Flash AI?

<Thick Russian accent>

COMMIE #1: So, comrade, I see you are on guard duty tonight as well.

COMMIE #2: Da.

COMMIE #1: It is shame that is so cloudy and stormy. I do not like to get wet in this rain, and the thunder is loud.

COMMIE #2: Da. Also, why do we guard facility here, surrounded by dark forest?

COMMIE #1: I do not know this. Many rocks for enemy soldiers to hide behind. I wish we were issued night vision goggles or at least flashlights.

COMMIE #2: Wait! I hear something. Look, there is NATO man 3 kilometers away in forest behind rock at night during storm! I will get him!

<#2 unshoulders his AK and fires a 3-round burst. The NATO soldier is hit and dies.>

COMMIE #2: I kill him. Back to guard duty. Where is vodka?

Lucky. Once, my friend was a commander in an Abrams and he had his platoon driving along. He encountered some Soviet infantry and engaged them. For some reason the commies shot their AKs at the tanks, and when my friend ordered the tank to move out after mopping up the infantry, the tank didn't move. He switched to first person and voila, his driver was dead.

Its one of the problems, enough small arms fire will EVENTUALLY kill anything.

Myself, I tend to grab myself a sniper rifle at the first possible opportunity. Unless I'm up against DAMN good AI (spetznaz or other elites) I can plink two or three squads without any real hassles (the advantages of a good comp with maximum draw distance on).

Either that or you can find me in a Kiowa Scout in multiplayer, doing "peek-a-bo's" with my gunner designating targets for Apaches at standoff range with hell-fires.

Sure, its not *that* realistic, but it is one of the games where team-work is ESSENTIAL.

Console: Chrono Trigger, Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Perfeck Dark, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the N64 Zelda games.

PC: Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Jedi Outcast, Neverwinter Nights, Rainbow Six & Rogue Spear, and the entire X-Wing series from X-Wing to X-Wing Alliance.

(Damn it, I want Metroid Prime and SW: Bounty Hunter, and I want them now! )

EDIT: Damn, I forgot Eternal Darkness and it's where my avatar comes from, LOL.

I just picked up an X-Box. What are your recommendations? It looks like a bunch of you have played Jedi Outcast for the PC, but do any of you have the X-Box version? If so, how is it?
