This is turning out to be one hell of a series.

LeBron fouled out for the first time in his playoff career and on Boston side, Pierce fouled out as well. Its a grind :D

This core of Celtics - Rondo, Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen - have found themselves in a 2-2 series eight times before. Every time, they've won Game 5, though seven of those wins have come in Boston. The exception was at Cleveland in 2010, a 120-88 romp that went down James' final home game as a member of the Cavaliers.

2012.06.05
Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics 90:94 (2:3)

The Heat lost a playoff game for the first time when both Wade and James had 25 points or more. Miami was previously 7-0 in such games, which included the 2011 playoffs.

The Celtics are 8-1 this postseason when holding opponents under 90 points.

I would begrudgingly concede this year to the Celtics if it meant another summer of humiliation for Miami. If only to see them can Erik Spoelstra. I wonder how good Miami would be if Phil Jackson was their coach? He turned down Orlando but I still think he is interested in coaching again and the Eastern teams don't travel as far as often as th west.

Paul Pierce dropping a three right in Lebron's face and to seal the deal was priceless. And yet again Lebron fails to show up in the fourth. Ha friggin Ha.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs 107:99 (4:2)

Oklahoma City Thunder advances to NBA Finals.

This is the Thunder franchise's first trip to The Finals since the 1995-96 season when the team was still in Seattle.

The Thunder are the third team in NBA history (the 2007 Cavs and 1993 Bulls are the others) to win four straight games in the conference finals after falling behind 0-2 in the series.

Here's how old I am, I was at Game 3 of the 1993 NBA East Finals.

Yep, Bulls were down 2 to 0 and then blew out the Knicks in consecutive games at Chicago Stadium. One of the highlights of that series was the game where the Bulls blocked four consecutive shots in the final seconds to win.

Pressure on the Heat just got ramped up big time after that loss. Erik Spoelstra sucks.

The team with home-court advantage has won 20 of the 27 Finals since the league switched to the 2-3-2 format in 1985. And only twice in the 27 years has the other team won three straight games on its home floor.

2012.06.12
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Miami Heat 105:94 (1:0)

Teams that win Game 1 of The Finals go on to win the series 72.7 percent of the time. OKC is now 9-0 at home in the playoffs. Miami is 4-5 on the road.

Lebron certainly gets as many reputation calls as Jordan and Kobe did in their heydays, you can't argue that.

Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder 104:98 (3:1)

The Heat are now 10-2 at home during the 2012 Playoffs. Westbrook became the first player in Finals history to score at least 43 points with three free-throw attempts or fewer. The Thunder are 15-17 this season when held under 100 points.

Game 5 is Thursday at American Airlines Arena. Miami is 3-1 in closeout games this postseason.

Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder 121:106 (4:1)

This marked the first time in the 2012 Playoffs that James, Wade, and Bosh all scored 20+ points in the same game. The Heat became just the third home team to sweep the middle three games of a Finals series since the format changed to 2-3-2 in 1985.

Miami Heat win the series.

That was fucking unfortunate. OKC collapsed in the 3rd, went from what, a 4 or 5 point game at one point to almost 30 by the end.
