Remember through that the Tunnel Vision thing will be a trained response not a Genetic one, one they could train in the train out of the Clones, or if it is Genetic, remove. Jango had the best Genetic Features, better athleticism, better strength, better XYZ, in Genetics is likely he was a suberb model, they tweaked bits they didn't like the Clones weren't Jango, they where Jangish. (Hence why he wanted an unmodified Clone...)

He might be the best genetic basis for the template. He's good but he's not trained as a soldier. Remeber it's far more important to train the soldier properly than to have good raw material. Jango was the raw material but didn't have the training.

Problem with that line of reasoning Stormbringer is that Jango was also training the clonetroopers, so if he didn;t have the training why was he allowed to train the result of his raw material?

One reason why a bounty hunter and not a soldier is a bounty hunter will do anyhting for money (mostly) and Jango essentially had to live on Kamino for decades and train these soldiers, a real soldier would start missing home and would not make the kind of sacrifices that Jango needed to make because Jango was more tham willing to do so for money (or Boba IIRC)

The clones' life circle is double the speed of normal people, hence the clones were probably no more than 10 years old at the time of AOTC. When you consider it would only be logical to have Jango train them when they are at least in their early teens (normal standards!), then he shouldn't have had to spend more than 4 years at Kamino. Any training prior to teenhood needn't require Jango's expertise.

I think that death scene was awesome. It showed how bad ass being a Jedi really is. Jango had already dispatched a Jedi Council Member and almost flamed Mace. He was really doing a kick ass job until Mace began charging. He may have realised that he didn't stand a chance and was just going out like the mandalorian warrior he was. This really doesn't fit that well, but it could be seen in the same way. Tom Hanks in SPR started taking shots at the German tank even though it did jack shit. Same with Jango, he was just gonna try and take Mace down straight up and it didnt work.

Master of Ossus wrote:Jango had originally been filmed with a much more elaborate death scene, but I thought that that idea was enormously stupid. How could one of the best Jedi in the Galaxy have trouble dispatching Jango Fett? It didn't make any sense to me. Luckily it was cut for the final edition, but I thought that the death retained the poignancy of the originally scheduled bout.
It didn't make sense? He was supposed to be the best soldier in the damn galaxy. So it means that not even the strongest, most skilled non-force user in the galaxy can stand up to a Jedi? Stupid elitist BS...

Hardly. It is designed to make the Jedi seem more powerful, but it also adds threat to the droid army and the power of the clone army. Think about it. The droids were crushing the Jedi by virtue of their numbers. Only the arrival of the decidedly undemocratic and questionably ethical clones saved them, and by extension, democracy.

He still deserved a baddass death scene. Like at least kicking the BMF in the balls, then being chased all around the arena with a lightsaber, then being stabbed in the back by Mace, like all real Jedis do.

It's OK, Colin, I didn't mean to be that harsh :) I already surmised that Nicholas bought it at one point when I saw a Trigun wallscroll that had Vash with Nicholas's cross.

It was a major death really. That was the best way for him to go. Throught his time in the series he acted nothing like a real priest. In the end he kneels holding his cross in the light asking God what it was all about and wishing it could be different. To me Wolfwood has one of the most symbolic deaths of almost any character I've seen.

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree fully with you and Alex, Colin...

It does suck that Wolfwood bought it, but it was far from a "crappy death".

I would like to nominate Sir Tristram for having the crappiest death ever. After getting to like him during the course of his adventures for King Arthur, he dies and we never even hear his death! We just hear that his evil uncle kills him in the next book! What a rip! What was Malory thinking?

Tristan Dies in Isolde's arms in most translations besides Mallory.

Lot and Tristan kill eachother, Isolde takes over a good deal of Scotland, and Isolde's Son becomes King. (Note: Lot and Isolde never have spousol relations, so you know whose kid eventually becomes King of most of Scotland right)

Trieze Khushrenada from Gundam Wing. He charges in the Tallgeese II and gets stabbed by Altron in the gut. Also Jan's "death" in JKII. But the worst was the KJA killing of Madine and the Darksaber.

Saruman was a pussy, anyway. If he had any goddamn balls he would've burned the Ents and Huorns to the ground before they got their asses in gear. Then he could've taken Rohan and Gondor and had the Ring for himself in six months tops.

Even if Saruman had killed the Ents and Rohan peoples, I dont think he would have taken Gondor for some time. And if he did, and then managed to somehow seize the ring. Sauron would have annihilated him, with a far superior military and strength in numbers.
