There is no God.
But it does not matter.
Man is enough.

There will never be a resolution in the evolution vs creationism debate because neither side can conclusively prove that they are right. The creationists can't prove that they're right becuase they're not, and the evolutionists can't prove that they're right because the creationists are too damn stupid to listen.

Damien: From the Greek name Damianos which was derived from Greek daman "to tame".
Sorresso: There's a fun history behind this one. I'm pretty sure we began as a family of bastard children, meaning the parents weren't married. It also has origins in Latin, specifically the word "surrexi," which is the root word of "resurrexi," which is Latin for "resurrection." If I remember correctly, there was a Roman captain that everyone had thought died in battle, but lived on and came back. So, he was given the surname "Surrexi," which meant "to rise." Let it sit in the oven for a few generations, and you get "Sorresso." Incidentally, I'm pretty sure that story was one of the inspirations behind Gladiator, but I could be mistaken.

Mine is Samson, though I'm usually called Sam.
It's Hebrew, and represents the Hair and the Wind.
On a second note, after checking one of the listed sites, I found that it's also meant for Ministry and the Sun.
Oh yes, my last name, Hediger, is a derivative of Heidegger, which is German. Supposedly, it means generosity and elevation of mind.
My middle name, Frazier, is either French or Irish. Its meaning is Loyalty and Truth. I'm not sure, but it might've been based off of Frasier, which in French is meant for fortitude and magnanimity.

Funny thing is...this happens to be my first and last names....XPViking wrote:Going by the site you provided Raxmei:
First name
DANIEL m English, Jewish, French, German, Scandinavian, Polish, Czech, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Biblical
Pronounced: DAN-yul
From the Hebrew name Daniyel meaning "God is my judge". Daniel was a Hebrew prophet whose story is told in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. He lived during the Jewish captivity in Babylon, where he served in the court of the king, rising to prominence by interpreting the king's dreams. The book also presents Daniel's four visions of the end of the world. Famous bearers of this name include English author Daniel Defoe, Swiss mathematician Daniel Bernoulli, and American frontiersman Daniel Boone.
Middle name
MORGAN m,f Welsh, English
Pronounced: MOR-gan
From the Old Welsh name Morcant, which possibly means "sea circle" from Welsh mor "sea" and cant "circle".

John Tuan-Anh Nguyen Pham
JOHN m English, Biblical
Pronounced: JAWN
English form of Johannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ioannes, itself derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan meaning "YAHWEH is gracious". This name owes its consistent popularity to two New Testament characters, both highly revered as saints. The first was John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ who was beheaded by Herod Antipas. The second was the apostle John who was also supposedly the author of the fourth Gospel and Revelation. The name has been borne by 23 popes, as well as kings of England, Hungary, Poland, Portugal and France. It was also borne by the poet John Milton and the philosopher John Locke.
I have no idea what the rest means.

Robert Patrick Dalton...
Robert meaning "Bright Fame" (kind of fits given my reputation at school).
Patrick meaning "nobleman" (not by a long shot!).
Dalton meaning...hmm..."From a surname which was originally from a place name meaning "valley town" in Old English." I always thought it was from a region in Normandy called D'Alton.

My first and middle names combined mean "Crown of France." My last name I have no clue about, other than it's German and there is a famous person with the same last name who I'm not related to. Actually, out of my grandparent's last names, only one is readily defined, and that one means "the original settler of land by a dam or fish trap."
Anyone got any good sites for looking up German and Russian last names?

My first name means Crown. It's Greek by the way.
My middle name means tatto. It was often related to the Scotsman and is believed to be ment as tattoo for the fact that it was popular for Scots to have them.
My last name is not found. I will try another of the sites.

Babelfish might work. Last names are usually closer to the source language than first names. If you know what language your name comes from you have a pretty good chance of success. The Dark wrote:My first and middle names combined mean "Crown of France." Erm...I think my family history is screwed up...the name I thought was Russian appears to be German, and the name I thought was German is Danish ...(I could have sworn Henry Kissinger was German). I still can't find out what it means, though. As near as I can guess, it means "Boxer," though the translation is very rough.
