Ancient, yep, that's me. Turned 27 today, seems like the past year just went by in a flash. I hope everybody has a good day!
Cheers,

Happy Birthday, Edi!! *kisses cheek* Did you have a good day?
Edit: Wait, if you mean 'today' as in Friday, wait until Friday's mostly over before you answer my question.

I'm a couple months shy of 25 myself, and there are days when I feel beyond ancient. Especially around this board! Seems practically everyone's between 16 & 20.... Bah. Young'uns.

Sorry, no. That would mean I'm less than three years away from anciency
(is that actually a word?) myself. No way. Uh uh. Nyet. Not gonna happen.
30+ is mature, in the prime of life,a comfortable age, finally grown up-take your pick. But
not ancient.
Me.Ancient.
Inconceivable.

Thanks, everyone!

Thanks! Yeah, I meant Friday, you Aussies just happen to live half a day ahead of us Europeans.
But I do intend to have a very good day indeed.

Listen, I was 27 once... but now I'm 34.
Any questions?
No candy for your old geezer here?
Good.
I'm going back to sleep.
Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday. 27 is not old. 31 is old. At 27 you can still eat food and stay up late. By the time you are 31 it is all about gumming your mush.
Happy Birthday again!

Mine is at the end of the month, and I'll be older than that...

The definition of ancient changes, depending where you are. For example, in the figure skating world, you're considered ancient if you're eligible to vote (ever notice how the gold medal winner is always some high school kid nowadays?). In the world of rock music, you're not a relic until you're physicaly unable to perform. Some rockers out there are eligible for senior citizen discounts, but they're still performing.
Which brings me to something else: When you're in your 50's, you can live and work normally, but being eligible for senior citizen discounts makes you feel far older.
