I calculated how big the chances of me meeting a good-looking girl, about my age and single are. I came up with this answer: 0,7%!! And that's just how big the chances are that I will meet a very good-looking girl of the right age who's single. 0,7 % of every person I meet!! That's not very good. In fact, that's really, really bad. Now I'm going to be sad the rest of the week because of this. Crap! Why did I do this calculation? Why??

Don't worry about it. Girlfriends are overrated.

How can it be that low? Looks are relative. As long as she is not UGLY then dont discount the possiblility of a relationship.

How much of a leeway did you give in age? If it is exactly your age then of course your chances are low. But if you give 2-4 years either ways I bet your odds are MUCH better.

dont worry about it. I've checked out three girls this week - they either were uninterested or dating. Im having fun regardless. flirt with most everyone and something will happen ^^.

as for sadness, I write stories.

You know your lucky, only two girls even come near enough to me to touch me with a barge pole, and only one is even remotly possibly interested in me.

I didn't have a girlfriend until I was 25 (and it wasn't that I didn't try at earlier ages). Don't be in too much of a rush. A girl (or woman) will come across your life -- it's inevitible...

However being serious. Get out and look and talk to them. You're chances are getting any better just hanging around and hoping they'll come to you.

And don't fixate on the supermodel-esque women.

I like to blow things up or read. One or the other they're both fun.

I guess the chances are that low considering that he is including everyone he meets of all ages good looking or not.

I try not let the dark days pull me down. If its the case of meeting people, a couple of months ago I started to remind my friends, collegues, etc. that I was looking for a gal but having no success. I didn't want to come right out and say I was depresssed. I guess I have my damned pride to thank for that! But it worked! I've been set up quite alot; they haven't worked but all it takes is for one to work out...

I'd reccomend some sort of dating service. If that doesn't work, try clubbing. The women will look even better if you're drunk.

Considering that someone that devotes much of his life to analyizing phaser firepower and poundering BDZ quotes can bone chicks (ok, one chick) on a regular basis, there is hope for anyone.

Hell, I didnt even have my first date till I was over 18 and in University.

As for the sad part....thats a lot of the time (lots of fun with depression)....I tend to either do some practicing with weapons or some writing.

I dated a bit in school, but, well if you read some of the threads around the place you'll see where that got me.

It wasn't until university, hell, last year, that I began going out with someone who I really care about.

Don't worry about it, Jo. You'll find somebody someday. Hell, as a 16 yr. old straight male, I haven't even kissed a girl yet. Just wait, and talk to anyone who seems remotely interesting or attractive.

I was 18 when I first got kissed (and yes, I do mean got kissed...she was a bit more aggressive than I). Lasted three months, the whole long-distance thing didn't work.

So is being single. Granted, I like my freedom, but it gets depressing sometimes. I've never done any kind of sexual thing with the same girl more than once, and I just realized that yesterday as I was fooling around with some girl I just met. Randomness can be exciting, but having some sort of consistency in your life is a good thing, especially in adolescent years, where everything is constantly changing.
