The boards were behaving really strangely under Mozilla for me. It kept trying to download pages as 'octet/stream' or something like that.

Oh, don't fret. Why, I'm sure that with everyone's help, we can turn this into an argumentative and vibrant thread in no time!

For example, you could discuss, as my friends and I were doing, whether it is better to have, in your life, wasted away your time, or to use it as if every second counts.

Well...I was just arguing that a life is better off if you've wasted the hell out of a lot of your time. I don't think any sane person should have to be doing *something* all the time.

But that argument is pretty finite. You should say something provocative about the oncoming cyborg technologies that high-tech companies are tripping over each other to make and install into people, like weapons, tracking devices, communications utilities, etc.

Or just say something about World War two tanks, which usually brings a crowd running to any thread.

hell, i´d love to be a cyborg. i want devices in my eyes to improve eyesight, give me nightsight and heat detecting sight, i want improved hearing devices installed in my ears, and then there´s a whole bunch of stuff from warhammer 40K which i wanted when i read a book but can´t remember now, such as the skill to know what the stuff i eat was thinking at the time of it´s death (maybe not by eating it but by touching it would be cooler).
i want a set of wolverine claws.
i want an upgradable computer and a small monitor in my left arm.
i want devices which support my interior organs, such as heart, liver, kidneys... when needed and a whole supply of chemicals which can be shot into my body when needed.

But wouldn't you be worried about having non-organic things planted in your body? I mean, you'd have to cut out or remove something in your body in order to accommodate all your new toys.

I can understand replacing eye *lenses* with plastic, and using artificial organs and the like to replace defective ones, but I doubt we're ever going to get to the point where you can have voluntary surgery to get, say a wireless internet service and mini screens installed in your eyes and head, with a direct link to your brain.

i need to add that i´d only do that stuff if these aditional gadgets are very tiny and if it was as safe as driving a car.
the monitor in my lower arm could be a strap on.
if these points are followed the upgrades would be kind of like immunizing shots. there is a minor risk, but the benefits are a lot higher. not only for comfort but they also can save your life. if you have a heart attack the implants support it. if you´re in an accident and some organ gets smashed, the implants can keep you alive.

i wouldnt support upgrading strenght because an upgraded arm could be pretty deadly weapon which the person has to carry around with him/her all the time, also when drunk or on drugs.

Happens some times with IE as well. When it happens I just hit stop then refresh, & read the page that should have loaded.

For some reason IE6 (on my desktop computer) crashes some times, stupid security patch breaking something else...

Oh well, it really isnt that much of a hassel.

Yes, I use Windows & IE. They came bundled with the computer, and I have a 56kb modem(Last house only supported a 28.8kb connection). And it is simple to use, already integrated into the shell.

Has any one ever had the displeasure of using a Win9x box which had run out of avaliable handles? I'll give you a hint, there are much less than 32kb of them, and practically every thing uses them. And win9x leaked baddly if the application crashed, thankfully WinNT based sytems dont really have that problem (~2^32 avaliable handles)
