New Terms of Service

If you click on the "Register" button, you will see that the TOS have been slightly revised, to be more clear on what is and isn't allowed (the previous TOS was the stock one that comes with the software).
Also, it should be noted that I have disallowed any more new members from signing up with Hotmail or Yahoo addresses, although existing members with Hotmail addresses are still OK. I'm a little tired of trolls signing up with Hotmail addresses.

Short, clear, and to the point. I like it.

I dunno, there are honest people who use hotmail.....

True, which is why I didn't want to do this. There are many valued members of this board who use Hotmail. But at least 95% of trolls use Hotmail too, and that's a problem. If people sign up with Hotmail addresses, I tell them why they can't sign up, and I let them know that if they're in a bind, they can E-mail me and ask for a manual registration.

Sounds like a resonable solution....though there are other free mail providers that the trolls can hop over to....
Though that presupposes some thinking on the part of the trolls....

You can create account after account for free.

OK, glad you're not just blanketing off those types of accounts.

Pity there wasn't an online IQ test for each new member, if they get below doorknob level intelligence then they can't enter, but they may redeem themselves if they can outwit a rock and make it entertaining.

Mine's a paid msn address, but I can sign onto hotmail using the same address ... confuses some folks into thinking mine is a hotmail account.

You can create account after account for free.
you should also ban gmx.de and gmx.net and about a trillion other free email providers.

There's more than a thousand of them out there. It's not feasible to ban them all, but at least it makes them do a bit more work. As for manual registrations, I can create any arbitrary account I want, so anyone can simply send me their desired registration info and I can make them an account.
I use yahoo...
