My fiancé is from Japan. Recently, for a class project I had to attend an Assembly of God (Pentecostal) church and write an analysis of the events that I watched. My fiancé' insisted that she go along.

Well, to make a long story short, she thought that she had walked into an asylum. There were people doing the usual stuff: dancing in the aisles, speaking in tongues, talking to themselves, etc. Being an anthropologist, I tried to explain to her what these people were doing.

Try explaining a Pentecostal church service to someone from a country like Japan. She still thinks that they're nuts.

Another reason why we can't let fundies take over America and Canada. The number of dancers and speakers-in-tongues would infest the streets.
