I have a pic that I would like to use as an avatar, but it is made up off too many pixels. Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

If you have MS photo editor, I believe you can use a resize option to make it smaller, and with fewer pixels. That's what I did.

Is there anything I can do with crappy old paint?

Download The Gimp (do a Google search). It's freeware, and it has all the image editing toys you need and then some.

I don't think MS Paint is that flexible. You can always simply use the rectangle tool and simple cut out the 80 x 80 pixel size, but that might not be what you want because it might cut off the picture. I suggest the trial version of Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop pro and use their Imaging resizing tools.

Yeah, you can use the stretch tool to fix it.

Why get a trial version of $ware when you can use freeware, like The Gimp?

PS. Your avatar is disgusting!!!!!

I just hunt for stuff on Kazaa. I never heard of The Gimp so, I plead my case as one of ignorance.

And yes, Da Pink Eye is rather revolting, but that is what makes it great!

Yes, paint can do it, but it can only save in BMP or some other rarely used format. It must be in JPG or GIF format to be used as an avatar. Tell you what...pm me a link to the image and I'll resize it for you.

Paint can save as a JPEG, and in XP can actually do it fairly well.

Please change it, or I'll bite off your balls, mister.

Get Kazaa Lite and leech a good graphics program off of the net.

I recommend either Photoshop 7 or Corel Photo-paint 10. The latter has better image compression capability, IMO.
