Well, as some of you know, I recently purchased most of the buyable Hafe-life games. So far I've beaten Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

Loved Opposing forces, cool weapons, entertaining. Ofcourse I was a complete dumbass against the boss. First I thought he would be just a wail on him until he dies boss. So i hit him with all my SAW Machine Gun ammo, all my sniper round, all my satchels, all my RPGs, and all my grenade launcher ammo. Also known as, whats nice to have when killing super soldiers. Then I saw the guns at the top. Blasted away at the things eyes 6 times before I finally resorted to checking a FAQ. Racked my self, and finished the thing off.

Blue shift was cool too, but overly disappointing in length and nothing really new weapon wise.

Now I just have to beat the original, then I can start trying to download mods and updates for Team Fortress and Counter Strike on my shitty 56.6k modem.

I will pwn your ass in TFC. Nevermind on how I'm 3 months out of practice, I still make headshots like an aimbot...

How large is the update for Team Fortress?

I know Counter Strike is 116 megs, and I'm gonna have to use an overnighter download to get it, but maybe if Team Fortress is smaller, I can play it tonight.

On a 56k, not very likely...

Oh, BTW, this is the first FPS that I've beaten without getting bored and just throwing on god mode to finish it off.

The ending to the original HL is cooler than the other ones. You choose two different endings. A lot of people thought it sucked, but I thought it was cool. Eh...hopefully you'll find it cool too.

Oh yeah, there are some links in Op For and Blue Shift to the original HL that you'll understand as you progress through HL. I thought it was cool the way they did that.

The best thing I liked about Op4 was blasted the fat sec guard few time as well as everyone else in the game after I talked to them

I liked Opposing Force very much. Especially the SAW and the new magnum. The spore launcher was ridiculously overpowered IMO.

Shock rifle's pretty cool, too. If you drop it, it starts biting your enemies

BTW the Shock Rifle is the little bug stuck ont he hand of the four-armed monster that is ridiculously hard to kill. If you already have a shock rifle the shock bugs of slain shocktroopers will attack you instead of sitting their quietly waiting to be picked up.

Right. If YOU drop it, it won't attack your enemies (since there is no drop weapon command in normal gameplay).

It would be nice to see, though.

Personally I just loved the good old fashioned shotgun....whatever the occasion you cant help but make some kind of impression with a 12 guage....

I think the part I hated the most in Opposing Force besides fighting the large aliens in the dark sewers were the infinite pit drones in the middle of the sewers. Took me several tries to get it just right and I eventually had to put the use button closer to my arrow keys. Tried using the SAW or the shotgun, but eventually used the good old magnum, was able to get to the lever, shut the door killed one pit drone then jumped in the water and hit the other with the M-16.

Oh, BTW I had 14 health at that time.

I hated the Voltigore labyrinth too. Apparently, if you use the displacer self-teleport, there is a way to bypass all the 5 Voltigores and end up at the beginning of the Infintie Pit Drone thingy.

I never found out that weapon had a secondary fire until I had beaten the game.

The first time I used the alt fire I teleported into Xen. Without a platform to land on. Sux0rz.
