No, not at all. That's dialect: stuff like different regions calling them "bags" or "sacks". And I call it "Soda", BTW: one of few.

I was talking about the pronunciation of words. Like how in Britain "Car" is often pronounced "cah" and around Boston it's "caa".

Your coffee has fizz?

I call it soda because Coke is but one small flavor in the vastness of it...dammit I want IBC to make more Cherry Cola(godammit...why can I not just order it by the truckload?!)

If it has caffeine in it, it's crap. I'll only drink non-caffeinated sodas (unless they're not available) since I remember trying to kick a caffeine addiction. I had a headache for about five days straight.

Like you, I tend to call everything a coke, or perhaps a cold drink...

I prefer calling it "soda". Pop is the Backstreet Boys.

On another note, in some places, it's called "tonic".

I usually say fizzy drink or soft drink, maybe carbonated sugar based beverage.

Um, it's whatever you want to drink. If you want a Coke, its coke, Mt. Dew is Mt. Dew (or if they say they have Pepsi after asking for a Coke, THEN it's Mt. Dew), a Toasted Mudslide is a Toasted Mudslide. Oh wait, that's not a carbonated drink. :D

I despise Sprite...

Eh like Kelly said drinks are drinks...though one has to wonder what classification does everything drinkable in household combined in a tub qualifies.

Soda and sacks, myself. But sometimes I say "soda pop" too, so there you go.
