Wheee!!
(5-star wanted level, started on Staunton Island, then went through tunnel to Portland.)
Uncountable number of bystanders killed or wounded.
Estimated civilian property damage: 4 cars totaled or destroyed, 15+ more damaged.
Police casualties: At least 100.
FBI casualties: At least 50.
Police and FBI property damage: 5 Jet Rangers, 20+ squad cars, 25+ FBI cars, most of which lost in Porter Tunnel.
Misc. Damage: 1 destroyed 2.5 ton truck.
Pff, violence in video games, complete nonsense
. Anyways, I was finally killed after my 2.5 truck was shot up at an intersection filled with Mafia goons. While trying to fight my way through them I was run over by 2 FBI cars
.
Anyone else that plays GTA3 have any extremely lopsided man-hunts?

I did better in Vice City...ah the mansion...come fools...prepare to die!!!
For GTA3...did in the one area where your hideout is in an alleyway and only one entrance. Lost count after 100.

Things become very bad very quickly when the Army gets called in. You'd better have a trainer and god mode on if you want to last any longer than 10 seconds.
You know how quickly the M-16 kills vehicles, right? Well, those soldiers have M-16s, and they're coming for your ass.

yeah and Tanks seriously do wonders.
I mean if you have a shitload of good stuff(if you have 150 Health, Body armor, and some nifty weapon bits handy)...it's possible to survive...but honestly it's all about where you are...if you're out in the open, there are no words for the ass raping you'll get.

I remember camping on the hospital 2nd floor parking lot in GTA 3, in the first city. The cops came, I stitched off their heads with the M16, the choppers came, I force-fed them some bazooka goodness, and I basically tossed molotovs and grenades all over the place. I used the gore code, so I literally disarmed the police officers coming after me. As soon as the reinforcements came I shot their cars to bits with the M16 and killed their officers on the scene as well.

by consequences
There are sniper positions on buildings where it is possible to kill without the police being able to effectively get at you, but they require you to be pretty stationary, and don't always have enough targets in view.
My personal favorite was taking the tank on the Turismo mission.

Well, I was just working on another Insane Power TripTM, though it was cut off at 4 stars thanks to the moronic AI. There I am, blasting down the highway in a taxi at 100 mph with several squad cars and a copter in pursuit when the fucktard ahead of me in the next line makes the brilliant decision of changing lanes right then and there, into the lane I was currently in. The highway was suspended over a river. The highway had no rails on my side. Needless to say, everyone died.

My favorite thing to do is to get my Wanted level way up and see how long I can survive in a sports car. Sometimes those chases can get pretty insane, hopeless though they may be.

my favourite is when you've got sirens on an emergency vehicle and the other vehicles get out of your way by driving off a bridge into water.
fools!

My best body counts were in GTA 1, those made it into the upper 200s. i'll admit in GTA3 I tend to get killed as soon as the military shows up and I can't get the obscene numbers going.
State of Emergency however, is a different matter....
SMASH the CORPORATION!

When you get an insane number or killers after you, go to the top of the multi-storey car park and snipe at will.
This is FAR better when you have max armour and weapons and health and the whole civilian populace has weapons and is after you.

Wow, this makes me want to get GTA3. I would have to get it for the computer though.

Do it. I hear there are some bugs in it but they have been ironed out by now in patches, I got GTA3 for my birthday in December, 2001 on PS2 and loved it, but when I heard that it would be on PC with more features I decided to get GTA: VC for PC, just as well since I don't have a PS2 at Uni but I can wait.

Has anyone gotten up to 6 stars in GTA VC?

I did, once, and I lasted all of about 20 seconds in a Sabre Turbo. I was already pretty banged up, and suddenly trucks full of soldiers and Rhino tanks were coming after my ass. I bailed out of the Sabre and tried to hijack a tank, but I got cut to ribbons while I was still pulling the door open.

you usually get the best body counts when you drive in a tank and shoot everything around you. they last for ever.
if you want to get the tank the easy way, you can go to the army dude who sells m16s and bazookas. he´s got a tank parked in his yard which is locked. take a bazooka and fire at the door of the tank. the door will explode and you can take the tank to your hideout.
hijacking a tank isnt hard either. go to the roof of the house on the other side of the street of luigi´s(?) night club on the first island. then start shooting people and cops untis the army shows up. throw enough grenades until the cops are dead, drop down get tank, go to hide out.

Ahh, rampages, lots of fun in GTA3, one of the reasons I bought the game. Im excellent at evading the cops for up to an hour at 4 stars, on 6 stars I can last a while if I have an M16 or flamethrower.

Six stars is VERY hard, you practically need to cheat to get anyhere after that, damn Feds.

I've lasted about four minutes at six, half on foot, half in a stolen Barracks (the army truck). Without cheats.
WITH cheats, I've lasted fifteen minutes, and it only ended becaue I made a wrong turn and drove off end of the island. (dammit!)

Wow, 32 in a row.
Once you total up a hundred (it doesn't have to be all at once), Borgnine Taxi opens up shop in Harwood. The Borgnine is a pretty cool cab, too.

The AI isn't moronic; it's just imitating real-life morons

Yeah, there and the parking garages work exxxcellently, as long as you have a bazooka to bring down the choppers. With the hideout down the hill in the alley, you can just keep tossing grenades and cocktails up there and kill scores of people at a time. It's great!

Is that GTA3 or GTA VC?
