I heard about it on the radio. Of course I don't have a Social security number, so when they ask for the last 4 numbers I can't. I also haven't bought a CD, so that would be fraud if I signed up.

The other part of the settlement requires the record industry to give away 78 million in CDs to charity... like what are they going to do with these CDs . Besides CDs are cheap to make so the actual value is much, much lower.

At least this is more money than other lawsuits, where you only get a few cents.

By the fact that everyone think's it's a hoax, I guess...

If more than 8.5 million people sign up, they won't mail out money to individuals. They'll just give the money out for the states to waste on music related things. Also the amount of money given to each decreases the more people sign up. Oh well I don't care since I can't get any money.
