It is been brought to my attention by several people on this BBS forum that my avatar is somewhat...disturbing. I am ultilizing this poll to see if more people like it, or not. So....

Should I change my avatar [and why]?

I don't read your posts because of it.

That is rather nasty. I wouldn't want to see that next to every last one of your posts.

Yes, the pink eye avater is very disgusting but I don't think you need to change it.

The avatar looks like the eyeball of a dead fish that's been sitting in the summer sun for a few days. I find it rather disgusting, get a nicer looking picture.

I'd rather look at that picture Einhander wanted photoshopped, of which I said "I would photoshop it, but simply looking at that picture makes my eyes itch".

Ugly people don't get payed attention to, ugly avatars probably follow the trend

It's not obvious. Quite a few members find it disturbing. That's a reason to change it. Or else Bean could still have his Penis avatar (before my time, I read it in the legends of Old )

Reminds me of the avatar Gabooz had once at SB.com. I'm also researching River Blindness for biology coursework now as well, a nice eye decomposing worm.

Well, then quite a few members are crazy. And Bean's avatar wasn't that bad.
If so many people think it's disgusting, then I guess he should change it if he wants these people to pay attention to him. I'd have thought this crowd would be a bit more hardy, though. I mean, it's just a picture of pink eye...don't tell me you've never had pink eye...

Yeah, and I've had my chin opened in a 20 stitch cut. Doesn't mean I have to like to see myself bleeding. Different people have different sensibilities. Some can't see a horror movie, others just laugh at the death scenes.

Yes, in that I agree. Nobody's going to flame him, or to ban him on account of his avatar. But it's polite of him to change it for something else, if a significant number of people are asking him to. It's not like it's an important issue. There is an infinity of images he can use as avatar without objections.

I agree, it's just that I think that "being polite" and "trying to earn respect" are the same. One isn't simply polite for the sake of being polite; it is done for a reason.
Anyhow, I think he should keep it. It looks pretty cool, and it's funny that people think it's disgusting.

Bean never had a penis avater, someone else posted a pic of a Bean with a moving penis pic. I think it wa anarchist bunny.
