One time when I was a kid I took my chocolate tart and instead of paying for it I ate half of it, then opened one of the dairy cases and threw it in.

In high school, me and my friends used to steal books from Barnes & Noble. Sounds geeky, I know. But on at least one occasion, we stole enough in one go to count as grand theft had we been caught. You've heard of Grand Theft Auto? We did Grand Theft Literature!

Does that mean you stole 1101 dollars (or pounds)? That's pretty hardcore.

Me is glad IB has conscience.
But me is feeling IB should learn to forgive herself. Not forget - of course IB should not do it again - but IB should realize that it was a mistake which does not need to be repeated.

As for me, I used to go around swiping money. I needed the cash, and I was too short-sighted to think of approaching my teachers and friends. i figured, "I'm not going to burden other people with my problems". Of course, it was only after ten years (and an expulsion) that I realized that by robbing others I was burdening them with MY problems.

Ah, the immaturity of youth...

Yes, but it's peanuts compared to what some of my former bosses have stolen.

Now why don't people just let me handle the books, I don't cheat, I don't embezzel, and I can usually find out where the money's really going fairly quickly.

Nope, they have to harrass ME, and set up elaborate stings, investigating everybody, before they finally find the actual person, and still they never appologize to me. Oh I now have a file with security, as I have been involved with 3 Embezzelment cases in the last 5 years, each time it was my boss (Different bosses obviously), and each time security publically accused me (Illegal for them to do that in front of guests I might add), and each time they have found out that we employees were in no way involved.

No no no! They're not bars of anything - they're multicoloured sprinkles that you dip your cone in before the flake.

I used to swipe cash from my dad's wallet when he wasn't around (he left it in his room during the night), but I would always feel so guilty that I would always replace it (with interest, sometimes!) when I came by money again.

Oh. I think all us Yankees assumed it was cash.

Incidentally, I've never seen them anywhere on the eastern seaboard.

Anyway, once, I got a haircut, and then I walked out without paying. I later realized what I did, went back, and paid the money. I did the same thing recently at the Pavilion with a hotdog and a soda.

Also, when I was really little, I went around one of the buildings in Villanova University and stole the thumbtacks off everyone's greenboard. Other than that and my extenstive collection of Kazaaware, nothing.

About 8-10 years ago I made some pretty good cash stealing porn magazines from stores and selling them to underage kids. Swiped'em and sold them for 5-10 bucks each and before I knew it I had made myself a small fortune. I've also swiped a couple hundred bucks worth of firecrackers over the course of several years. There's a bunch of other stuff but after the first 10-20 thefts I stopped keeping track of things. I haven't stolen anything since I've turned 18, I can't have those pesky laws catching up to me.

Because of the massive amounts of guilt I get afterwards, I don't steal much. The only thing I took from a store ever was a 25 cent stick of gum.

I can honestly say the only things I've stolen are MP3 files, and I only have 850 Mb total, about half of which is mine anyway.

I was pretty young and didn't know I was stealing. It was a little green toy truck that I opened up in a store and my dad saw it in my hands just after I opened it. He paid for it, so it technically wasn't stolen. And afterwards he was upset with me and told me that I can't just open up things in a store like that. lol For some reason, I remember that very clearly and remember how badly I felt. I never stole anything after that.

Actually, I'm dead wrong. I have several copies of games and lots of MP3s, so I guess it is stealing.
