Last night I found your strange money greatly perplexing, but your alcohol most pleasing! Even though everyone is at least 21 now, we still go across the river to Windsor to get shitfaced. It's fun over there.

Our money is colour-coded so that you don't have to try reading the damn numbers on it when you're piss ass drunk. It's a feature that comes in quite handy as our beer will get you pasted pretty good.

On the topic, why do you have to be over 21 to drink American beer? It's pisswater, from what I've heard, and you shouldn't be waiting that long to drink it.
Also, isn't the drinking age in Canada lower?

I think the reason for the age 21 drinking age in the US is because someone decided that it would be much safer if high school students couldn't easily purchase alcohol on their own. There aren't generally many 21 year olds in high school were as there are plenty of 18-19 year olds in high school. If a significant number of high school students were of legal age you can be that there'd be even more under age drinking at "high school" parties.
I imagine that if two things were different in the US the drinking age might be different. 1. Lots of high school age people have cars and/or drive. 2. Americans as a whole seem to think that the main way to have fun at a party is to get loaded. Statistically high schoolers cause or are involved in a lot more accidents than adults. Throw in the booze factor and you can see what the government is trying to cut down on.
I do find it kind of annoying that the 21 drinking age was mandated by the federal government and enforced by threating to withhold highway funds to states which didn't comply. It is also annoying that there isn't a general exception for people in the military. There are some bases that allow military personel under 21 to drink on base but most places follow the laws of the state or country they are in.

In the land of Peteoria, my land after I secede from the U.S., I will lower the drinking age to -1. You'll have to bring your own beer though.

From what I've heard, in Germany, you can drink beer at like 14, and nobody will care.

And in England, a twelve year old boy and his fifty year old dad can go to a pub and drink beer, and nobody will know the difference.

The Canadian drinking age is 19, or maybe that's just the age required to get across the border on your own. In any case, everyone in Michigan who's 19 or 20 and wants to get fucked up goes to Canada. Windsor is an infinitely nicer and more entertaining city than Detroit, however, so we still go to the trouble of passing the border and exchanging money even though we're all legal to drink in the US.
In any case, I actually prefer Killian's. I'll drink Guiness if I'm in the mood, and occasionally Foster's if they're out of the first two. American beer is all piss except for Sam Adams, which is decent, but I haven't tried much Canadian beer. What are the good brands?

What about Miller's High Life. It's the champagne of beer. It even says so on the bottle.
Seriously though, I like Rolling Rock and some microbrews.
I have also managed to make an espresso and beer combo that wasn't bad.

They have something around Detroit here called Ghetto Blaster. The picture on the label is a big boombox with car exhausts and fire coming out of it. Very classy.

It´s 14 for beer and the likes and 16 for hard liquor. But nobody will care if you drink earlier.
