What would have happened if they continued the fight?

They would not have got any further

They would maybe have gone on a bit, but got bogged down and stopped in the German forests

They would have run rampant all the way to the European Atlantic seaboard, and then stopped.

As above, but then they would follow that up by invading Britain, and stopped.

As above, but after consolidating their hold on Great Britain, they then assault Ireland, conqering it and thus extending their empire to the utter extremity of Europe.

What if Ghengis Khan had not died when he did?

Post by AWACS »

When Ghengis Khan died, the Mongol Empire which had reached and taken over the eastern fringes of Europe, defeating several central European armies in the process, suddenly just... left, to return to Mongolia to decide on the successor.

However, what if he had lived on for many more years?

The Golden Hoard could easily have made Paris a nice, fertil field for their horses to graze had they not turned back.
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

The Huns were the greatest conquerors of Asia, if not the greatest conquerors ever.
