Anyone else having trouble posting?

I logged on about seven hours ago, made a post or two, tried for another and "invalid session" came up.
I logged back on about an hour ago, and the exact same scenario occured. I was listed in the members online, tried logging in again anyway, and it said I was using an invalid username.
Third time was a charm, obviously.

Haven't had that problem, but I think nearly everyone's been having a problem just connecting to sd.net, even the alternate link at times.

Keep me informed. The software was just updated to a newer version, and it's always possible that there will be some strange bugs.

I often have problems posting here but not today. Usually when I can't post I go do other things, go to other forums, etc, and come baack a lil later.

I just have frequent firewall errors, but I think that's on my end.

Board seems slow since the update, but my posts are going through.

My cookies got nuked again, even while browsing, so I lost all the new post markers.

I had that problem once, well before the .4 upgrade. The surefire fix is to delete all broswer cookies associated with bbs.stardestroyer.net.

The same thing happened to me about two minutes ago.

Huh, something must have reset all the cookies.

Something started resetting my (and everyone else's by the looks of things) cookies about 5-10 minutes ago.

I just discovered that there's an AOL issue with the board, so I opened up one of the files and made an edit to make it more AOL-friendly. Hopefully, the act of opening the file and editing it while "live" didn't cause too many problems (it sounded like it did cause some hiccups, however
)

You edited one of the BBS data files while the board was up? That's not very healthy...

Sorry about that; I just noticed that people using AOL were consistently reporting problems, and I knew about the AOL rotating-proxy issue, so I decided to implement the AOL hack without taking the board down. It won't cause any data corruption issues, but it looks like it might have caused a few hiccups to active sessions.

You're telling me. I tried six times to log back in. Bah, I probably should stop using AOL and use one of the other ISPs I log on with.

I wasn't able to log in for about 15 minutes, just letting you know.

I'm all done editing the session validation code now, for what that's worth. It should be working fine now.

I've had no problems, but I was absent for about the past 1.5 hours.

It seems slower, but that's it.

So far it seems a bit slower surfing, but vastly faster editing (editing was a huge problem before; you would hit the "edit" button and then go get a drink while it was crunching).
