My new car
I'm getting a new car next weekend.
I've had some shitters, never more than £500 in value, and now at the ripe old age of 37 I've decided to throw tradition to the winds and get a loan for a decent motor. I'm getting a BMW 520i SE.
What car do you drive? Which was/is your favourite?
I'll post a picture of it when I've got it.

I have two..
A Ford Mondeo ST200 and an Alfa Romeo 145 1.6 TS but we have replaced the microchip which handles the ignition in the motor so it's really became mean...
On the other hand I congratulate to your BMW.
Why don't you bought a smaller chassis with a bigger motor for the same amount?
The 2 liter BMW motor is a little underpowered for the 5 series chassis...
But it depends...if you prefer comfort it's a good choice.

Dad has a Expedition XLT (2WD V8). Kids drive a Camry LE (FWD I4) around where we need to (generally my brother ends up taking the SUV to school while my sisters and I take the car to university).Admiral Valdemar wrote:Ooh, nice choice.

What I want in a car:
1. One that runs well.
2. One that can get me from A to B.
3. One that won't cost me a fortune in gas.
4. One that does not to be repaired every three months.
5. One that has two doors and is suitably large enough to fit me.
My 91 T-bird fits the bill in every department except #3 and #4.

The Echo doesn't look like much on the outside, but they're tough as shit, built really well, have great pickup out of the gate, have arguably the best city mileage of any car around, and have completely - and I mean this - unreproduced ergonomics on the inside, plus more interior compartments, glove boxes, etc. than any other sedan.

I have a preference for big luxury sedans that look like cop cars, but with alloy wheels and leathers seats. When they start getting old, you can put brush bars on the front and go for the Blues Brothers look
For a time, I considered sparing your wretched little planet Cybertron.

We'll see what one will cost, thats pretty much the kind I'd like.Admiral Valdemar wrote:It is one of the few American cars I would really drive.
How much are you forking out for it, Dennis?
I'm guessing it migh be 9-12 big ones depending on the shape it's in.
