Strange router/internet problem

Post by Shinova »

Currently we have three PCs connected to the internet via a router which connects to the cable modem: my comp, my sister's, and my dad's. As of now, mines is the only one able to connect to the internet for some weird reason.

It could be because I have XP, dad has Win2k, and sis has win98, but I don't think that's a problem. Can anyone help us out here?

Umm, try refreshing the other computer's routing table... Maybe use netstat -r to see if they're connected to the router...

Actually we just fixed it. We switched the cables around, plugging them into different router slots, and now it works. Thanks for the input though.
