So, what about you? When do you swear?
Personally, I swear whenever I get pissed off.

There are only two times I swear:
1. In fics, cause they make the dialogue more believable.
2. In concession/stfu pics I make, cause they make the pics funnier.
Why do I not swear?
1. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. That's the best I can describe it.
2. Personally, I believe that going into a cuss-fest in arguments is a subliminal way of saying that you've given up cause you have nothing intelligent to say anymore so you resort to just cussing.
Basically, I don't like cussing.
EDIT: Although they do sometimes slip in from time to time (on this board).

For every situation like this, there is probably one that also improves your performance...

Damnit, why'd you have to ask that question?
Actually, I swear quite a bit at times. There is one week out of the month when I swear A LOT. *innocent look*

I swear whenever I want to. It doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, and I don't understand the current furor over swearing. As long as it is used right (ie: not making you look stupid) I have no problem with it.

I try to abstain from swearing unless I'm in pain. I don't really see the big deal, but I see no reason to anger people who do.

I usually swear when I get angry, or to make a point, serious or otherwise.

I rarely swear in writing, but I will sometimes vocalize the salior talk. Sometimes a statement just needs a little colour.
And swearing is a great pain killer. Hit a patch of ice on my bike last week and landed on my hip, hard! Took about one loud "Son of a fucking bitch!" and about a dozen "fuck"s before I could stand.
I'm thirty-one, and I still feel uncomfortable if I swear in front of my mom. My grandma gets offend by "crap", "piss", etc.

Theres a problem with swearing?

Before the Navy almost never swore
In the Navy always swore (the F word must be used as a verb, adverb, noun, adjective, preposition etc... in every sentence uttered by a sailor in order to have meaning)

.
After the Navy I suprisingly went back to almost no swearing relatively easily.
Now that I'm working at a somewhat crappy dead-end job where I'm overworked the swearing has returned with a vengance.

Actually the agravating part about my job is the shear number of dumbasses that I work around. Add in a few smart people with no common sense and you have my hospital.

I'm surprised there isn't a little blue cloud that follows me around. I use "Goddammit" in speech the way people use periods in writing. "This cocksucking old bitch in front of me is driving too fucking slow, Goddammit." "That movie sucked big donkey balls, Goddammit." "I'm going to light that worthless motherfucker on fire if I see him again, Goddammit." "Sister, kindly pass the salt, Goddammit." Etc.
