NF_Utvol, I just noticed that you put back the USAF avatar and sig that I deleted from your account. I received a request to remove them and I explained the reason to you via PM. Unless you are currently serving in the United States Air Force, do not persist in using that avatar and sig unless you want to be banned. Is that clear?

BTW, what keeps happening to my sig and avatar? Bug in the system?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? A man who is serving in the USAF asked me to remove them.

Oh, i typed that at the same time and saw your reply. The reason that it is there is because my father is USAF, and I possibly will be after college.

You can use them when you join up. It would also help if you stop joining your pussy-ass coward friend Schneider in his rabid flamefests against this site and myself that have been going on for months, particularly when you simultaneously claim to be holding the high ground.

Look, this has absolutely nothing to do with Schneider. I see no reason to bring it up in a completely unrelated thread when no harm has been done to anyone.

It has to do with your sig/avatar. His offense at your use of them was probably not mitigated by your dishonest conduct.
But fair enough, this is off-topic. It will be split into another thread.

is the NASA logo more acceptable?

Seriously though, maybe you should look for an avatar that does not make it seem as if you're pretending to belong to some group (unless, of course, you actually
do belong to that group).

Was he acting like he was a USAF member?
I dont understand why someone cant use a logo for their avatar as long as they are not lying about what they do.
ie) You are married to someone in the Navy and are proud of it, so you have a USN logo?

what was the sig? Anyway, I object. Civilians have a right to wear command ballcaps and fatigues and to purchase military crap--so why shouldn't one be allowed to show an AF emblem? What if he really really likes the AF? If I choose the Wisconsin logo for my av, will I be banned? I don't see any reason for threatening to ban someone. So what if someone's use of an AF logo offends someone in the AF? If I put on captain's bars, whether in my av or on my collar, do you think an army guy would be that offended? It's freedom of speech. It's what people in the military are sworn to protect. That was shameful.

Unless, of course, he's acting in a contemptible fashion. Have you been paying attention to this guy's antics in the SWvST forum? I can understand why certain people wouldn't want to be associated with him.
EDIT: Just FYI, he's been cordial in this forum, politely insulting us in the SWvST forum, and flaming us for months over at another board; see the EAS-related threads in STvST about it.

No, so I'll oh-so-thoughtfully toss it back to you
I am aware of the "fake SEAL/Walter Mitty" phenom. I don't know what he's been doing. That was the reason I asked abt the sig. Plus I'm just nosey.

S'all right. I sometimes forget that there are people who don't check out every forum.

So long as you don't claim to be associated with them then I don't see a problem.
But I haven't seen the sig and avatar prior so I cannot pass comment on them.
Can I use the No. 56 Squadron insignia as an avatar in the near future since my dad worked with them? Just making sure, thanks.

Alright, I will go ahead and make this clear. I am not a member of NASA, nor am I affiliated with them currently. My school aerospace engineering club has done and is doing work with them though, and that is where i got the idea for the NASA logo.
And I still fail to see why the USAF logo was deleted and my signature changed. Especially my signature.

You should have that disclaimer in your sig.

Because a member of the board who is actually USAF disliked to be associated with your hopeless and moronic defense of the other board. Apologize, sincerely this time, and perhaps he'll change his mind.
I can understand, because I felt bothered having a guy called engineer behaving constantly like a moron, a while back (yes, that guy of your forum, who decided to leave this forum with a "bang", for no good reason).

Because it is one thing to simply make an ass of yourself, it is another thing to make an ass out of yourself while using an avatar and sig that associates you to an organization that I belong to.
Just keep two things in mind:
1)I started using the Air Force symbol in my avatar and sig long before you signed on to this forum.
2)I've done my time at Lackland, during the hottest months of the summer at that. You haven't.
That's all I have to say about that.

Ouch, San Antonio when it is hot. I was there last summer, as a matter of fact, and my family was going to stay at the TLF at Lackland, but it was either full up or had been closed, can't remember. Dad was stationed there at one time, also, during basic, I think. What do you do in the AF? Pilot, Jet Mech., SP?
But anyways, I have already apologized to Mike in a PM, and I agree, I do believe that it was high time I did apologize for what I said earlier. I am sorry for the uncalled for insults that I said.
It was very inappropriate for me to say that you have a low IQ or to troll. That first time I came here, I was angered, and I reacted in anger before stopping and thinking. It was an immature decision. Now, I cannot apologize for everyone else, but, speaking for myself, I do apologize. Don't ask me why, as it did nothing other than irritate everyone and give me bad face.
I know that I learned something from this little incident. Not only about everyone else, but about myself.
Now that I have apologized, would you take offense if I put my old logo back up to show support for the best Air Force, if not military organization, in the world, the organization that I would in some way want to work for (be it an actual engineer for the Air Force or a designer for an aircraft comany that contracts to the AF)?
Oh, and did you go through ROTC in college, and would you recommend it? I have been considering that, but, couldn't this semester due to conflicts with required engineering courses.

It was 'The USAF, when you want something blown up, overnight, GUARANTEED', a play on the FedEx slogan 'FedEx, when you want something delivered, overnight, guaranteed'
