What's your perfect day?

Quick question: what's your idea of a perfect day?

Today was, if not perfect, pretty damned good if I do say so myself. Key ingredients: sex for breakfast, no chores or work whatsoever, and barbecued T-bone steaks for dinner. And Fuzzy was delighted to get the T-bone remainders afterwards.

Sleep in, sex with Tev, cuddle with Tev, cartoons, web-surfing, gaming with Tev, and wrap up with dinner out and ice cream.

You know, I used to think that restaurant food was an important component of a perfect day, but I've come to prefer the whole experience of grilling a steak myself.

It makes more sense if you've ever eaten anything I've cooked.

I just had one - yesterday. My 30th birthday, actually.

In the morning: a quick breakfast while watching an old, sweet romantic comedy. Then, a two-hour train ride to a mountain resort.

Early afternoon: took a hike through the forest to a waterfall, higher up the mountain. Spent one hour there, took pictures with my new camera. Went back down to another, nearby resort.

Late afternoon: hiked back to the starting point (through a wonderful landscape). Visited the new part of the town - very nice, but I was too tired to take any more pictures.

Evening: took the train back home. Spent two hours talking to a Korean student who was traveling around the world, learning languages as he went. You know, the kind of guy you would expect to see on Discovery Channel.

Conclusion: my best birthday party ever. And not one drop of alcohol was involved!

P.S. Pics for the curious.

My perfect day, Sex in the morning. A day spent at the beach with a picnic, out for a meal in the evening (Both myself and my girlfriend can then eat what we want as we have differing ideas of favourite meals) Sex in the evening and a decent nights sleep.

This was basically the day of my first years anniversary with my girlfriend.

Mmmm....steak for dinner. Man, steak is awesome. Though...what's for lunch? :)

Yeah, those slow days are great.

Any day when I don't have chores to do, a job to work, or errands to run is perfect day. There's nothing like lazy days where I can just relax and not have to worry about a damn thing in the world. And of course lots of snuggling & sex with my lovely fiancée.

A recurring theme here is sex, lack of commitment or obligation, and a good home cooked meal, and I'm inclined to agree.

A day spent outdoors (preferably hiking or at the beach) is pretty obligatory.

You just stole my fucking answer!

But yeah, a full day spent at the beach while on a camping trip is the best for me.

I figure restaurants are better for the experience of being waited on hand and foot rather than necessarily having better food. Though admittedly I'm a lazy bastard when it comes to cooking, even if it turns out somewhat decent. Occasionally.

That would be mine, but I would have to add one thing. A little peace and quiet, and maybe some time away from annoying little people who just happen to be blood related to me. I'm a quiet person, and I enjoy time by myself.

That is pretty much my perfect day to minus the sex.

You don't think sex helps makes a day perfect? :wtf:

I'll simply pretend you just didn't seriously ask that question.

I have no one to have sex with, that is what I am trying to say.

Any day when I can sleep in late and loaf around wearing only a bathrobe for half the day (if I want) is a perfect day.

The day when I finally finish a large project and get to lounge around and enjoy it is a perfect day.

Fresh berries and green tea ice cream would help.

The weather or an air conditioning system helps a lot. For me, if it's hot enough that I'm sweating while laying around in the bare minimum of clothing, it kinda ruins the otherwise perfect day.

I thought of a better day, one where I don't have to do any laundry, or splitting up of fights, or deal with dishes and all that. It would greatly help if I could be away from the kids as that is my day to day grind (not that I don't love them). Especially if that day included spending the day on the beach by myself or with my sisters/parents, when I don't have to watch for the kids drowing or anything else bad happening, that would be the absolute perfect day for me :).

As an afterthought I probably should have worded that differently.

Hmmm, wife hates morning sex for some reason. Perhaps her obsession with cleanliness. No sex till after a shower. lol

So my perfect day...sleep in till nine or ten. Wife actually makes coffee (not I when I get up). Kids don't fight nor pick fights with each other. Me and the wife get to go walk alone. Sex at night. Good food in there doesn't hurt.

1. Drink Sangria in the park, then later when it gets dark, we go home.

2. Feed animals in the zoo, then later a movie too, and then home.
