Seggy, all that clothing cannot be good for your computer (static electricity and all). For both of you, don't computers need to be enclosed for proper airflow for cooling?

Oh and what if you drop in a paperclip while it's running...

I'm sad. My computer is 5 years out of date.

I see that they have gone back from the slot1/2/A to sockets.

Not necessarily. If you've got a proc that runs particularly hot and needs the extra airflow, then sure; otherwise it shouldn't be too bad.

And dude, it's been a socketed world for a (relatively) LONG time.

Actually my mate tore his case apart and used two large electric fans to keep his machine cool.....

I think he should worry more about flies and spiders---they might be attracted to the warmth.


Trust me, I've had two bugs of some kind short themselves out inside my monitor. My monitor survived though without a hitch.
