Ahh who remebers the Close Combat Series?
Image
I dug up old CC-2 this week and was having a blast running through the Camapain

Ahh nothing beats that old feeling of letting lose with a hidden MG-42 Team onto the Bren teams and watching their sol Anti-Tank team along with a squad of eight men drop in under eight seconds which lets me move my Panzer IV around and charge their Morter teams

I've never worked with Artillery but I can tell you the last thing you want to see is a trio of Panzer IV's bearing down on you, Espilley when the building blows up around you as HE shells sail through the old Ware-House and Morter shells start raining down....

Great old Game, Anyone else played any of the CC series?

I have CC3, it didn't seem like a good game....

I have CC1 and CC2. I liked both, although I sucked at CC2

I just got CC4 out of a bargain bin a couple weeks ago. I loved the original, and CC4 isn't too bad.

C3 Sucked, No question about it, To many things changed, not enough things fixed(For example the fact an MG-42 could spray over 1000 Rounds into a 1 Story SHACK roughly the size of your avarage garage and not hit eight men is rediculious

That and people only 20 Meters away running full tuilt still could sometimes make it the 200 Meters to cover while being shot at by half a dozen Rifles
