Would you sell out?
So, would you sell out on something you feel strongly about for a goodly bit of money? If your an artist, would you compromise a few pieces for the big bucks? If you have a strong opinion on a social issue, would you ignore it for some time if the cash was right?
Let's say it's for $100,000(US). Would you sell out?

(shrugs) Depends on what the scenario is. Give some examples. Until then, I abstain from voting.

There are something's I'd sell out on for 100 grand. There are others where we'd have to reach into the tens of millions if anything would do it. Once you offer me control of a country I'd do an instant 180 on most of by beliefs, what I'd want to rule and where I'd want to live are basically opposites.

So why are there no votes for Option #2?

So many fucktards cry true to themselves. I did too, the other options suck. I'd prolly sell out though. Seriously, if someone wants my artwork or characters why not make some cash on them? Really, would a publisher want to sign me on to use them? No, they want to take them from me, then get other ppl who can
A)draw better
B)write better
Hence I'd be keeping some morals that I made up, and still have no cash to pay the bills. Money is nothing but a material object, however you need it to maintain a life now a days. So I ask, how much?

I'll be honest, if someone plopped $100,000 right in my face I'd have a REAL hard time saying no to just about anything. I personally have never seen that much money all in one place and I'm willing to bet that 95% of the people here haven't either. I mean that's a lotta cash and I think I'd be too floored to say no, though there are some things I would say no to if you tossed that kind of cash in my face it would be hard.

I guess maybe I'm more of a stick to your principles kind of guy because I'm fairly certain that I don't need that lump sum of $100,000 to do well in the future.
EDIT: But I'm still uncertain what I would do and what sort of scenario is being presented, so I won't vote still.

Re: Would you sell out?
Depends on how strongly, and how much money. And how much of a risk I'd have to take to get that money. I mean, if there was little risk to my own person for selling out my own ideals to take the money, then I'd sell out in a heartbeat.Sonnenburg wrote:So, would you sell out on something you feel strongly about for a goodly bit of money? There is a lotta crap you can buy for $100,000 people, and I wouldn't be a sucker to pass it by, unless my service is worthmoremoney than $100,000 of course.

The fact of the matter is I have money to spend, but I don't see any reason to spend it until I move out of the house in a couple of years. The only thing I spend money on are really good video games (none of which have came out recently) and that's about it, really. If I had $100,000, it wouldn't change my lifestyle a bit. Then again, I would let my dad invest it for me in my stocks for future use as I have little use for it now. But I already have stocks that will help me in the future. So...I really don't have much need for it.
