Federal agents in the US are hunting for about 3,000 illegal Iraqi immigrants who have gone missing, The Washington Post has reported

Hmmm illegal immigrants. Maybe our fearless leader wants to ask a large group of illegal immigrants from a country that we are about to go to war with, why they are here.

There is nothing wrong with searching for, detaining, and ultimately deporting illegals. No matter where they come from. Im against a war in Iraq but this is not anything to get work up about.

Um, far from the Gestopization of the FBI that you make it out to seem, hunting down and questioning ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS is not some Nazi-like evil crime against human rights.

'FBI/INS seeking x hundred thousand illegal immigrants' is enforcing the law. 'FBI seeking X thousand illegal immigrants from specific countries' sounds a lot more like a witch hunt. Considering things like the WWII internment of US citizens of Japanese extraction this kind of official behavior needs to be watched very, very closely.

Considering these people are [1] not citizens, [2] here illegally [3] have gone into hiding after being ordered deported.

Meaning they've broken multiple laws and defied court orders. Despite what you may wish to think, thousand so of people are rounded up from specific countries and deported all the time, the fact that the media is actually reporting it now doesn't mean the US has taken some huge new step towards fascism. Stop scare mongering.
