Do you take a shower...

Simple enough. Do you take a shower before bed, when you wake up, or both?

Let me just say this: If you take a shower when you wake up, but not before bed, you're a filthy fucking pig. Check it out: You go through the day, starting clean, and let all the fucking nasty-assed day-funk accumulate on your filthy body all day long, your sweat and bacteria and all other manner of nastiness and shit, then you go home to your nice, clean pajamas, throw them on, and your nasty fucking day-funk gets all over the inside of your armor, and you fucking wallow in it all evening and through the night.

Lets not forget that, you hop into your fucking bed and Wallow in your fucking filth all night long, letting bacteria feed upon your day-funk and fucking ass-juice and whatever the hell else; also, you get your fucking nasty-drippings all over your hog-wallow (bed) and maybe some of your disgusting armpit flecks get ground into the mattress, which gives the disgustomites food to sustain themselves throughout the day until you bring your filthy dingleberry-riddle ass back home and start the whole filthy fucking buffet all over for them.

So me? Yeah, I shower before bed.

This rant brought to you by Chardok Industries. Making life shittier one meaningless rant at a time.

Also we hate you.

I wash-up before bed (face and under-arms) but I only shower in the morning.

Full shower in the a.m., face-and-hands before bed. Unless it's been an unusually dirty/sweaty/bloody/etc day, in which case p.m. shower, too.

Where can I get a "Chardok Hates Me" t-shirt? Can't wait to sleep in it...

I like to shower twice a day. My morning shower is often just quick for the sake of getting out the door--wash up and go as fast as possible--and it's also a nice way to wake up, except in the winter, when it absolutely sucks ass. At which point I may stop showering as much in the morning so as to avoid being damp and frozen to death. But starting off the day clean is important, even if it's just a quick one to get yourself un-funked and wash your hair.

I like to totally wash myself down at night though, regardless, for the same reasons as mentioned. Even though I'm not a sweaty guy and don't get all that dirty, it certainly feels better to end the day clean, and it's relaxing. Since most of the stuff that's dirty happens during the day, you end up coming home dirty. If you come home sweaty or go to a gym or something, and then don't do anything for the rest of the day besides be home and relax, maybe then I'd go without it--but honestly I'd almost rather shower a third time just for the pleasure of getting all warmed up than not.

I was a morning & evening person, though I've succumbed to laziness in the last few years so now I only shower in the evening. I need my beauty sleep these days.

If you're that filthy before bedtime, perhaps you should visit a doctor?

When I wake up, only before bed if I've had a particularly dirty day.

While you sleep, your body gets rid of a whole lot of waste through the nose, mouth, and any available pores. It makes a whole lot more sense to wash all that crap off you in the morning.

I shower after I wake up, because I smell like a moose, and before I go to bed, because I smell like shit. This according to the misses.

I'm almost afraid to ask what you smell like, in between...

Considering I share a bed with a dog, the cleanliness of my bed isn't very high on my list of priorities. I wash the sheets and pillow cases once a week, but beyond that asteroids do not concern me, Admiral.

I shower in the mornings (or whenever I happen to wake up). Hot water helps get me moving, especially in the winter. I also don't much care for how my hair looks when I've rolled around in it for 6+ hours, so I'd much rather take care of that after sleeping.

I always shower in the morning or else I'll be lethargic until around noon. I'll shower in the evenings if I'm sweaty enough and not too tired.

I usually shower in the evening or night, unless I've been having hot sweaty sex and don't need to share the smell with others.

I shower at night, usually just before I go to bed. Showering in the morning is more difficult; I'm not particularly fond of it because I'd rather sleep that extra 15-20 minutes.

I always shower right after work when I'm in garrison. I usually don't shower when I wake up or after PT because it's damn humid here at Hood. and I usually sweat my ass off all day anyway. However, if we go on a troop run so dubbed 'Bataan Death Runs' by First Sergeant I'll shower right after because I'm sweaty, smelly, and damn tired. First thing I do when I get out of the field strip my nasty ass clothes and jump in the shower to get rid of that nacho smell, sweaty body armor tends to smell like nachos which is arguably the worst smell ever.

If you wash your bedclothes regularly, it doesn't matter what time of the day you wash your nasty carcass, Chardok.

In an ideal world, I'd take two baths a day. In a slightly less ideal world, I'd shower twice a day. In reality, there are constraints on the amount I and my flatmates want to spend on our power bills, and also on the amount of time I can take up the bathroom without annoying others. One shower a day it is, and I choose mornings because it can help me wake up, feel fresher and ready for the day ahead.

I shower before bed. I have the tendency to sleep in as much as I can when I need to get up early, so showering in the morning is out of the question. That, and eating something for breakfast that isn't a Pop-Tart.

So, instead of going through at least part of the day clean, we should start the day funky, and be funky for the entire day, until right before we fall unconscious? Bodily excretion and bacterial growth doesn't magically stop just because you shower before bed.

Yeah, if I'm going to be fresh and clean, I'd like to at least be conscious to appreciate it. I shower when I wake up. Oh no, I wallow in filth in my bed! That's surely worse than wallowing in it in my clothes when I'm awake!
If you're that filthy before bedtime, perhaps you should visit a doctor?
To be fair, if I worked a job involving manual labor, I'd probably bathe twice a day myself... although, I'd probably bathe shortly after getting off work, so as *gasp* to enjoy the feeling of being clean. Chardok, apparently, just has irrational hangups about bacteria and sweat.

Bah! as if THAT weren't obvious! But before bed doesnt necessarily mean *shower shower clean clean BED!* I'm talking about, you shower at like 8 PM, and go to bed at 11 or somesuch. You can enjoy being clean for awhile!

just...you know...assjuice....

Before bed, here. It helps me relax after my day. I don't sweat much, so no worries there unless I've done much physical labor that day. Or had really good sex.

I shower in the morning. I figure I should smell my cleanest during the day.

Right before bed. I absolutely hate getting doused while I'm still waking up.
