Favourite Spy?
From the fantastical to the realistic, who's your favourite (Fictional) Super-Spy?
For me the answer is quite simply 007. From my first introduction to the genre to the awesome gadgets (Q was the real hero of the movies I say! "blasts off on jet-pack"), to the stunts to the suave and awesome lines. (And the music rocks).
Oh, and he's (mostly) british, so what's not to like?
Nigel Powers is a relatively close second though .

I vote Sam Fisher. He's got that grizzled sort of feel to him, and his personality clashes with Lambert in an amusing way, being a fairly left-leaning sort of person. Somewhat ironic for someone who regularly assassinates people.

Though I'm afraid you should order the movie from RUSICO and actually see it to understand it's awesomeness.

James Bond. Accept no substitutes, except maybe Naked Snake/Big Boss.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.
Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Snake isn't really a spy though. He's special forces who sometimes acts like a spy.Crazedwraith wrote:Snake? Snake? Snaaaaaaaaaaake!
He beats walking nuclear deathtanks with stingers. I'd like to see the others come close to that.

He's a spy, damn it! 00 Snake! He's got a gun that looks like a snake, so when the enemy spots him, he can pretend to be attacked by the snake, distract the enemy, and shoot him!

Other. John Clark/Kelly from the Tom Clancyverse. More of an SO than a spy though.

Would you believe me if I said Inspector Gadget?
No? Well, how about if I said Maxwell Smart, Agent 86?
No? Well, would you believe me if I said that I'd run out of breakfast cereal this morning, and only wandered in here because I was feeling lightheaded from a lack of food?
I got a prize for being the best Maxwell Smart at a roleplaying con, once. It was rather fun, actually. All I had to do was come up with half an idea, and let the guy who was playing 99 figure out the rest of it.
