Plus he translates into a bigger vehicle better than some of the other characters. I may enter this in the art contest (if it happens). Inked and colored versions coming soon. Let me know what you think. I value your feedback.

Ah, yes. Huffer. From the 'We've completely given up any semblance of coolness' era of Transformers toys.

I remember how they went from 1st generation Transformers like Megatron and the cars and planes that were deeply articulated and took fifteen minutes to change...to the 8th generation Transformers that were basically cars that you stood on their end and popped a little head out the top and opened the doors to be these pathetic little arms.

Huffer was first generation. He's as old school as Bumblebee.

Seriously? Wow. I stand corrected. He just looks like the later gen ones. I could have sworn that the 1st gen ones were larger, and much more detailed. Am I alone in remembering that the quality and complexity of the toys tanked after the first few years?

The first generation Autobots had a lot of the smaller cars in their ranks. They were, IIRC:

Gears
Brawn
Bumblebee
Windcharger
Cliffjumper
Huffer

They were the low-priced Autobot equivalents to Soundwave's casettes.

Hey, Huffer was one of the tougher transformers. I think he was after Braun in terms of strength.

The picture is great, but it's hard to picture leadership coming from Huffer's mouth, given his Don Knotts-like voice from the cartoon.

I remember when we didn't have no dang-nabbit flying Autobots! We rolled 'em around on the ground, and we LIKED it! And Megatron turned into a gun, not some dang-blast vehicle! No it didn't make no sense, but it didn't matter because he was a gun and we LIKED it! Buggeritall!

I still remember Fortress Maximus and Scorpinok. I have a Fortress Maximus, about 2 1/2 feet tall. Still have all my old Transformers, thoguh i don't recall the names on most any more. I've got two Optimus Primes, though (I believe the second and third ones made), Shockwave with Ravage, two Autobot cassettes, and some other assorted ones, probably 40-50 in all.
