It's been below 8-20 degrees here all week...brr...well, it's 28 now, which is a good sign, and it'll be warming up shortly, which is also a good thing.

Of course, this means I only have 3 1/2 months to prepare for the onslaught that is the Philadelphia summer, with it's consistant 95 degree weather and absolutely absurd humidity rates...

Hmph. you think 95 degrees is hot? Come live in the tropics, man...

I'd die for 95-degree heat right now. Perhaps even hotter.

The past few weeks where I am, there were single-digit highs, and a lot of snow. But, it has warmed up, the snow has melted, turned into ice after it froze in the night, and melted again.

I don't really mind cold weather anymore; not after last year in Athens, where I remember cooking and getting burned in the stands of a football game IN DECEMBER. We haven't had a genuinely cold winter in Georgia for a couple years now, so this is something of a welcome change.

You call that cold? What's with all the Americans bitching about a little good Canadian weather? 8-20 degrees is WARM, my jacket's barely zipped up and I don't even have to wear gloves or a hat. Buncha pussies. :D

Bah. Come down here in late July or August. You'll melt in the heat and humidity.

Doubtful. Last few summers here we've had 95 degree temperatures, and that's without the humidex. With the smog and humidity it's well over 100 degrees and I was doing just fine.

Pfft...after living in Korea and going the tropics as a kid.

I have felt the most ridiculous levels of heat(I hated monsoon...warm water pelting me is not my idea of fun).

As for cold...I sorta like anything until -30 weather.

-20 C and below, with lots of wind, that's what we've got here right now, and will for another month or so.

This cold is nothing. And our summers are nothing to write home about either. The only thing our about latitude that's worth of bitiching is the fact that we get considerable cold, sometimes, and 90 degree summers, always. Most hotter or colder areas only have one or the other,.

It's 01:25 in the morning right now, and I just stepped outside in a t-shirt. Feels like about 50F, no wind.

It's not that I can't handle cold weather, it's just that I don't have to. Oh yeah, the kicker: it isn't humid here. I fucking hate humidity.

The cold spell seems to have snapped here in Houston. But it is still a little cool.

The only thing I hate about Texas is that I have a few short months to wear my leather...Gets too humid down here.
