I am in the market (in the near future) to upgrade my home theater system for a better viewing experience. My sound system is already super, but I'd like to upgrade my subwoofer.
I am looking at
*projectors and screens
*widescreen projection TVs
*widescreen LCD projection TVs
*plasma TVs (outside of my price range)
Any recommendations?
My living room is about 18'x15' IIRC, and is wide vs long.
Which type of movie experience?

Babtech on the Net is the most well-thought-out collection of Babylon 5 technical documents online.
There are two dedicated forums that can give you quite a bit of help in this:
www.avsforum.com
www.hometheaterforum.com
Another forum @ ArsTechnica has an Audio/Video section with a lot of knowledgable people - some of them have projectors and screens and may be able to give you some advice.
As far as subwoofers go, these are excellent:
www.svsubwoofers.com
My uncle has a pair for his main home theatre and they're incredible. He replaced (IIRC) his Velodynes with them.
