- Expressions of joy, loss attributed to Allah's Wrath for Osirak Raid, American hostility, etc.
Yes. It's almost surely government-mandated, but still utterly disgusting.

Bastards.
Of course this is just going to reinforce the stereotype that all Moslems are out to get "us". (Whatever us may mean...)

Oi.
But, considering that the shuttle containing the first Israeli astronaut exploded over the town of Palestine, I don't really blame them. Fundies are fundies.
Have a very nice day.

How
dare they say something so horrible.
This is just one more strike against them.
EDIT: By "them" I mean Iraq, specifically Sadam's regime, not Muslims.

I wouldn't lift a finger to prevent a war at this very hour.

Two wrongs do not a right make. Saddam is the cause of such troubles, get rid of him and his rabid followers and hope this never happens again.
The genocide of a people over such comments is not justified.

I was generally pointing out that this is not a cause for war, merely that we shouldn't let our emotions takeover our better judgement.
Some people would sooner nuke Iraq because of this single comment.

"One more strike against them" more refered to how much a corrupted religious and political dogma can remove any sensitivity one may have. I wasn't refering to war at all.

We're not talking about genocide and you know it. The Iraqi government, however, surely caused those ideas to be promulgated - it controls all thought that reaches the media in that benighted country - and it must surely fall!

It has been my opinion since 11 Sept 2001 that the intrinsic value of Muslims--particularly Arab muslims--is a negative quantity. This latest outburst of Islam at its finest has done nothing to lead me to reconsider my assessment.

Fuck Saddam , and Fuck Iraq, I was mildly opposed to bombing the shit out of them, but if they really want to try and use this tragedy to their advantage, fuck'em. Turn the Marines loose and we'll let 'Allah' sort them all out(And Oooh Boy will he be busy......)

That's okay then, this is indeed one more blow against their credibility as a gov't. Saddam needs to be extracted, preferably without any real casualties on either side.
This should have been done in '91 though, it better be sorted this time if war is inevitable.

So are you supporting the idea that all Moslems are inherently wrong/evil/detrimental to society?
The actions of a few do not represent the whole.
Let them sneer - It only makes them smaller.

Ignore the sneering of Saddam and his band of idiots. We can be sure that the Allah that most Muslims revere would do nothing to help out a government with the track record of Iraq's. Instead pray that God reward the courage and honour of the last crew of the Columbia.
I have always felt only contempt for Iraq's dictator. This latest comment only makes him less worthy of respect in my eyes.
If we let this tragedy become an excuse for war, then we are betraying the ideals of the manned space program that put a man on the moon for all mankind.

You know what....I take back every anti-war comment I've said. Fuck em. Anyone that can mock loss of life like this deserves no sympathy.

The USAF/RAF blew up some stuff in Iraq today. Command & Control sites, I think.

And after careful consideration my assesment is that your intrinsic value is exactly zero.Probably it is a great overestimation, but I cannot avoid of being generous.
Probably I should assume that Asscroft and the religious right is america at its finest as well. And of course racial segregation and the Klu Klux Klan were america at his finest as well.
Under dictatorships like Saddam one the term "spontaneous manifestation" is a synonimus of "controlled by the government".

Given that the majority spend much of their time bitching that efforts to contain the 'few' who have a pronounced habit of killing people from Bali to Washington and all alphabetical points inbetween are actually attacks on Islam rather than attacks on terrorism, it is quite clear that the actions of the few are supported by the beliefs of the many.
The world would lose very, very little by culling their ranks by a few hundred million.
