Tom Davis happens to be my congressman. Maybe I should write a letter. Then again since I can't vote it won't matter. My mother is a quasi-fundie, and will vote for republicans no matter what. People like her who blindly vote are the people who got Shrubby in office.

While I agree with your central point, that is a broad generalization of people who tend to vote for republicans and/or Bush.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

It threatens Microsoft's monopoly, which isn't a good thing since it might actually start losing it's stranglehold on the software industry. [/sarcasm]

Also, America is run by a theocratic corporate oligarchy.
