Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has denied any links with Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, a British television station has said.
"If we had a relationship with al-Qaeda and we believed in that relationship, we wouldn't be ashamed to admit it," the Iraqi leader said in an interview with a visiting member of the British parliament, according to Channel Four television.

The United States and Britain have accused Iraq of aiding al-Qaeda, which is widely believed to have been behind the 11 September, 2001, attacks on the United States.

The release of details of the recorded interview comes the day before US Secretary of State Colin Powell is due to present what he says is evidence that Iraq is producing banned weapons of mass destruction.

*Saddam waves hand Jedi mind-trick style*

"I have no weapons of mass-destruction."

"You have no weapons of mass-destruction."

"You have no need to be here."

"I have no need to be here."

If there was any solid evidence of a link between Sadaam and Al Queda then there would be no need for any inspections or long winded reasons for attacking Iraq. But the Bush administration probably hopes most people will at least "believe" there is some sort of connection.
