What's the bet there's a group of fish out there feasting on a man who lost the bet he could swim to freedom?

I'd imagine that it's for security but it still seems strange to me too.

People tend to complain when a prison is built near them, so this was a proposal to increase natural security, lower building and running costs and have somewhere that didn't decrease houseprices and threaten MP's positions with their constituents.

Plus torpedoing the ship helps perform mass executions. :D

Ever seen a guy try to dig his way out of a prison ship? He soon learns not to do that again.

Yeah, but you can't work the prisoners to death digging trenches in the frozen Siberian ground on a prison ship now can you?

The guy was serving a two year sentence and tried to escape?

I wonder if anybody has complained about unfair treatment for getting seasick?

Strange vessel. I'd never heard the UK still had prison ships, I'd think with all the offshore islands they'd just use one of them if they wanted a really secluded prison, some already are on islands.

It looks like the prison is on a barge, which is being carried by a heavy lift ship.

I can picture Poseidan looking up from Atlantis and scowling as the ship floats overhead. "There goes the neighborhood."
