Favorite Castlevania game (pre-SoTN)

Post by Joe »

Symphony of the Night is going to be the obvious answer here for most of you, so which of the pre-SoTN Castlevanias is your favorite?

Castlevania 3.

Using different characters was fun...Castlevania 2 had potential, but in the end was too easy.

Castlevania 3 with the ratboy, I mean the thief, was cool.

For sheer strangeness, has to be Castlevania 2

Circle of the Moon was good, but the exploration thing was more of an annoyance than a enjoyable thing(like metroid), White Night Concerto was a lot better about that, but I played the Jap version, so I lost out on the whole story. (I think it's Harmony of Dissonance in the US). 2 was the only one I ever owned, and beaten without save states, so I gotta go with that one.

I was never a huge Castlevania fan. I've only played 2 on the NES and it was alright.

NES Castlevania 1 or 2, I was never able to decide between the two.
