I don't remote-link out of my Geocities webpage (I use it because it's free), and it seems to be working fine.

i didnt say that anybody should bother. i replied to the question why geocities would not allow hotlinking. that´s all. i personally dont give a damn if geocities gets money since i´m not in possesion of any yahoo stocks.
