For those of you with programming experience, what language made you go crazy?
For me, it has to be Lisp. Functional programming languages seem bizarre to me.
Any others?

Perl looks rather ugly.

Do you mean real programming languages, or do obfuscated ones count as well?

Batch programming...I don't remember the real name for the language but the program I was responsible for was called OPC98; nothing to do with the year, something Punch Card.
My father actually had to use those things. It's no wonder he still refuses to have a computer in his house.

REXX is the oddest language I've used.
The 4DOS/4NT/4OS2 batch language is very wierd but it's more of a scripting system than a real programming language.
Python is odd until one gets used to it.

I hated Perl; too many ways to do one thing.
Turtle is practically useless and weird.
I've heard assembly is very hard.

I'll forward C++
Its syntax isnt consistant, practically no-one supports the entire language feature-set, error-prone(bugs in programs written for them), overly long development cycle, compilers are almost always very very slow, etc
I never trust a language designed by Committee.

I think I'll vote Caml in here for the same reason.

I detested it.

My Computational Science teacher mentioned once a langueage known as Forth. I believe when he worked at Apple, there was a (half) joke going around that only masochists programmed using Forth, and only sadists Programmed Forth compilers.

My sister knows how to use Forth. It's Yoda's favorite programming language.
