Jon Voight has some advice for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama: get out of politics and become an actor.
Voight, one of the rare Hollywood stars who staunchly supports the Republicans, offered a tirade Tuesday to several reporters covering the party's convention in St. Paul.
He's going on like an idiot saying over and over about Obama, "Who can vouch for his character". Who the fuck can vouch for McCain? Or Palin? You should see the apologistic bullshit he starts trotting out for her in this video. What a moron.

Neverending bafflement as to why the opinions of actors carry any more weight with anybody than do the opinions of janitors, grocery-baggers, gasoline-jockeys or pre-operative groin shavers.
In fat, they should probably carry less.

People are stupid, they seek others to voice their opinions for them. If not flat out
decide their opinions for them. Hell, that's the basis of what we call our culture, an overgrown herd mentality. And if the rich and famous aren't the Alphas, who is?
