Greatest Characters left out of games or movies?

What characters can you think of that have never had their real PROPS in a big budget movie, show, or game?
I am sure I will post more on this subject, but my first pick is the characters of RedWall, written by Brian Jacques. Or have they had a series or movie?
Anyway I think the story is clever and immense enough to make a great big budget flop, er movie.
Some points to ponder:
When is there going to be a live action TRANSFORMERS movie?
IRONMAN would make a great movie.
STARWARS would be a fair movie...ohwait....
When are the Dukes of Hazzard coming back..sniffle..sniffle...
What happened to the A-team, damnit! Where's their big budget movie??
A civil war movie done to grand scale with today's CGI and other various
cinematography (like I spelled that right) would ROCK!
They need to go ahead with the freddy vs jason movie, and the alien vs predator movie already! We've waited for 15 years on these! Argggggg!

Without a good story all the best CGI in the world is wasted.
With that said, I would like see a movie made of the DragonLance chronicles.
I was never a big fan of monsters like King Kong or Godzilla.

There is already a Redwall animated series. I've seen an episode and was not impressed. There is a website at

The Fantastic Four Vs. Dr. Victor von Doom, would be a movie I'd like to see. The FF would ofcourse have their original roster (Mister Fantastic, the Human Torch, Invisible Woman and the Thing)
And a movie about Alexander the Great would be neat.
Oh, and:
The Infernal POKE of Eternal Damnation!!!

Well I have recently developed my own superhero FATMAN! and I would really really really like to see him and his utility belt complete with beverage cup holder on the big screen.

As for the bit above about Alexander The Great, there is a movie being scripted for that with either Russell Crowe or Vin Desiel currently interested in taking the lead.

I reckon a 40k movie is long over due...
Though it would have to be very well done or it may turn into a worse movie than D&D...

Its possible. You need a kickass script & a good budget in order to avoid making a 40k movie suck more than a legion of porn stars.
I mean look at Judge Dredd. Great concept, great character, great setting, hundreds of stories waiting to be turned into a movie. Alas they fuck with continuity, they provide a stupid story that ignores almost all of the JD back story, they cast Stallone, they fuck up the character of Dredd....gah!!!

Aye a 40K movie is overdue now, but what would show, I think the key part would be to limit the Powers/Races shown. To focus on one conflict, so in that case I'd pick the three Races as follows.
Imperium of Man, Chaos and Eldar. The Eldar cdould forsee a great disaster involving Chaos and Humanity's messing around with an unearthed Relic. (standard plot but it Would be cool to see on the Cinema.) And so attack, at this point no Chaos taint has been seen, leaving new comers to the 40K universe thinking it's an Alien attack Movie, but slowly through the first Hour or Half the movie, whichever comes first. (If the Movie is over 2 Hours long then in the first hour, if shorter then at the half way point the true threat should be FULLY revealed.) During the revealing stage we can have certain key character's act more and more sinisterly, although if you wanted to keep the suspense going one or two of them could be Inquistor's who always act Sinsiter, and in fact are Loyal Imperium supporter's. Then in the second half you have the Forces of Chaos reveal themselves, and destroy Human Bases, then you get a Three way war which would then evolve into a Human-Eldar Alliance against Chaos.
Space Marines should be kept to a minimum although shown, this leaves the way open for Sequals to focus on the Marines vs a different Threat, say Orks, or Tyranind's. Instead we should see the other forces of the Imperium at work the Imperial Guard, The Arbites, the Planatary Defence Forces etc.

I always imagined having it revolve around Imperial Guard & have them hinting about Marines & not really give much away except that they are - for want of a better word - 'better' than everyone else...
Then when the IG get attack at the end by Chaos you can have a really cool 'from out of no-where' Space Marine counter attack that would blow the AOTC scene away...
Or having a sqaud of Grey Knights teleport into the thick of it to save the IG from certain doom at the hands of daemons...
The whole thing could be a very good franchise if each film focused on a different aspect of the 40k universe...

Im looking forward to Gods and Generals too, I liked the Gettesburg epic immensly. Though Im very partial to Glory...brilliant film, great acting, great plot, I get teary at the end...
Interestingly enough that film was made with a very small number of extras. the directors comm. on the DVD is very insightful.

The brotherhood of the Holy St. Liebowittz (howmany Roman Catholic cults can form around the Athiest Nuclear Scientist that keept civilization alive after the atomic wars. Besides it's a crying shame no one has ever made "canticle" into a movie, or at least included refrences o it in one of Interplay's "Fallout" products.

Definitely a 40K film, with a huge budget and good actors, followed by a film of nightbringer.
I'll direct it... on the Chaos CGI
