Gun-bunnies rejoice!

Post by beyond hope »

Smith and Wesson now makes a .50 magnum, which can be seen here. Perfect for those of you who play roleplaying games and insist on carrying around the absolute biggest gun you can get your hands on. Also good for those of you who like to do this in real life to make up for, errr, "shortcomings."

Thank Dog for S&W. I collect and shoot firearms. I foresee in the future me owning one of those.

OOOOHHHH nice. I haven't seen that reported in any of my gun mags lately. 500 S&W, ey? I personally like the .40 S&W, a nice compromise between weight, stopping power, and size.

I'm gonna have to shoot one of those babies.

Now that is what I call penis envy! And a big badass gun. Heh. Though I'd prefer a good .45 ACP myself.

Wow! Another hand gun which can't be accuractly fired by 99.995% of the worlds population accurately.

The only point to .50cal handguns is there ability to crack the engine block on most anything, making disabling a car running your roadblock easier. However a .45 can do that just fine as can many other lesser weapons.

I thought the Desert Eagle was .50 calibre?
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

It can easily be rechambered to .50, yes, but AFAIK you can't get an "off the shelf" .50 Desert Eagle.

Just what the world needs-- a crew-served handgun.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

For the Trigun you're in luck, except for the Angel Arm firing mode. Hellsing forget it, 13mm handguns are illegal to make in the USA. Smaller caliber versions may be possible.

That's not much different from a .50 calibre. Only .3mm difference. WTF?

Beats me.

I was a bit hasty on the hellsing guns. The 13mm is still illegal, the .454 Casull(sp??) handgun is legal.

Closest gun I've seen to the Trigun is the Mateba Model 6 Unica http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Firearms/Re ... odel_6.htm

Eh, not bad for a show piece. Rather have a baby eagle or a USP. I tend to have a thing for .40's but when in doubt, the 1911 always comes through in a pinch.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Man with gun: Hi! We're just like the NRA, except that we are gay!

Yes, you can. Desert Eagle makes their .50 Magnum and you can buy them like that. In fact, there was an advertisement for the DE .357 Mag and .50 Mag a couple months ago on the back page of Guns and Ammo.
