I just saw Daredevil at a sneak-preview-type showing.

Daredevil is my favorite superhero, so I was prepared for this to be a huge letdown compared to the comics. But, surprise surprise, they pulled it off very well.
There are, of course, many divergences from the comic universe, with very few of them objectionable.

Most of the movie was well-done, with a few cheesy TV-ish touches, but hey, it's a comic book movie. It's a shame that it would be impossible to put Stick and The Hand into the first movie, because without them, the explanation of DD and Elektra's training is pretty weak.

Well, as you get around to seeing it, chime in and let us know what you think.

I heard it was good except for some of the special effects looking weak. Like green screen elements, wires, and such.

How was Affleck's portrayal as Daredevil?

I'm wondering whether I should see it this weekend or not.

No. For being cool, but because of some cheesy "let's take out some frames" slo-mo.

Aside from that, and the aforementioned divergences, Daredevil r0x0rs your, my, and Billy Bob Thornton's s0x0rs.

Affleck was passable. I'd have been happy with some other people, but he didn't piss me off, so that was nice.

I guess it could have been better, but I have never read the comics. The only thing I know about Daredevil is what I learned in Spiderman guest apparences. However, I thought it was fucking awesome. Especially the little surprise in the credits.

Electra comming back to life sucked, it was obvious she was dead.
