My neighbor told me that his AP Euro teacher did the same thing. It was funny then, and still is.

On that note, I'd like to comment that the Charles "DeathTrap" de Gaulle has been deployed ot the Easten Med....

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

The de Gaulle is not that bad. Sure, it has lost one of its two propeller helix, leaving the ship crippled and disfunctional, it has a designing error that doesn't allow most aircraft to take off or land on it, and has radiaction levels well beyond the projected and safety ones.Lonestar wrote:On that note, I'd like to comment that the Charles "DeathTrap" de Gaulle has been deployed ot the Easten Med....
But, overall, it's a pretty decent ship.

De gaulles radiation and deck problumes where fixed years ago. Currently she needs new screws, already being made and her rudder needs work. That will happen the next time she refits. Until then her speed is only 22 knots, sufficent, unless someone fires a torpedo at the thing.Colonel Olrik wrote:The de Gaulle is not that bad. OK, I am seriously outdated, then. That's the result of reading old Engineering mags at my department library. At least I got the slow part right.Sea Skimmer wrote: De gaulles radiation and deck problumes where fixed years ago. Currently she needs new screws, already being made and her rudder needs work.
